I think Winston will eventually be the number one quarterback. I'm scared of MM he's throwing to wide-open receivers running wild right now that won't be the case in the NFL. it will be tight windows to throw in and he will have to learn drop back and timing. I don't think his accuracy is that good. Guess we'll find out at the combine
I'd like some more videos of both. My early thought as far as pro comps:

Mariota = RG3 but less frail
Winston = Bortles
Hundley = Kaepernick/Geno Smith

The teams that draft these guys will need to have good systems around them and good coaches. I also think the Eagles would take any of these guys in the first round so they'll likely all go in rd 1.

I thought it was a pretty good comparison.

MM is a roll out throw on the run QB has not prove he can throw out of the pocket yet or take a snap from under center and drop back and be able to throw timing routes. MM is definitely more solid but isn't as fast as RG3.

JW like Brotels is more of a big prostyle pocket passer

I'm trying to guess how they'll look in the NFL. Mariota has footwork issues, tons of athleticism and will need to translate his game to the NFL or play his unique brand and try not to get hurt. Mariota also has good arm strength and down the field accuracy, imo. He can struggle with some sort passes a bit but its nothing glaring. The system he is coming from really dictates what you think of him.

Like Winston, Bortles was a big strong QB who just flat out won in college but he trusted in his receivers a lot. Winston tries to throw his receivers open more but they both have a tendency to force the issue a little too much and neither is amazingly accurate. Both QBs also dont get as much strength on their throws as you'd think...more of a mechanics issue, though, and nothing that can't be fixed. I think Winston might have a little bit of Eli Manning in him, too.

Winston > Bortles, not even close. Winston is a lot like Rothlesberger and is already running a Pro style offense. Jameis is stupid accurate in the 2nd half of games. I would love to know his 3rd down % during the 2nd half when the game is on the line. Jameis just needs to not do stupid shit off the field.

Marriota > RG3 on attitude and talent alone, but will have to adapt to the pro-style offense from the spread

Hundley is going to make mistakes but I think he will be better than people think.

Petty too

I honestly don't think its fair to compare any QB prospect to a superstar. It took Big Ben a few years to go from game manager on an awesome team to Elite QB.

Winston could be the best player in the draft or out of the league in a couple of years. Usually when people say that about a guy, he busts hard. I cant wait for the college playoffs. Itll tell us a lot

Marriota won the heisman .... that means he's gonna suck. Look at the history of HT winners in the NFL. It hasn't been pretty.

Mariota = bigger but less pro-ready Russell Wilson
Winston = Roethlisberger
Hundley comparison is OK I guess (haven't seen him play much)

First Pick has updated their rankings a bit...so I am doing this again this week. This is what I came up with and I, for one, like it a lot!!

Your score is: 4879 (GRADE: A-)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 12: Brandon Scherff, OT, Iowa (A)
Round 2 Pick 23 (BALT): Josue Matias, OG, Florida State (A-)
Round 3 Pick 12: Eric Kendricks, ILB, UCLA (B-)
Round 3 Pick 23 (BALT): Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor (A)
Round 4 Pick 23 (BALT): J.R. Tavai, OLB, Southern California (A)
Round 5 Pick 12: B.J. Finney, C, Kansas State (A-)
Round 6 Pick 25 (BALT): Vince Mayle, WR, Washington State (A)
Round 7 Pick 30: Detrick Bonner, FS, Virginia Tech (C+)

So imagine if you will an O line of Robinson,Saffold,Jones or Finney,Matias and Scherff. Tre Mason will be buying MANY Christmas gifts next year!! :suds:

Mayle or Bonner would essentially be for depth... i.e. Mayle replaces Givens. He is 6'3" and 219. He was not highly regarded coming into this season but had a very good season for Wash St.

Bonner is a 6'1 206lb FS and he would simply had some cover skills to the thumpers we have in the secondary.

I almost went TE in the 7th round instead of Bonner. Blake Bell from OU was there still. That could be an interesting propostion. He, of course, is the former starting QB at OU who moved to TE. He could serve 2 purposes (2nd TE and 3rd QB)... just a thought

Another B draft:

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 22 (PITT): A.J. Cann, OG, South Carolina (B)
Round 2 Pick 16 (S.F.): Eric Striker, OLB, Oklahoma (B)
Round 2 Pick 22 (PITT): Reese Dismukes, C, Auburn (A)
Round 3 Pick 12: Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor (B+)
Round 3 Pick 28 (G.B.): Jay Ajayi, RB, Boise State (A)
Round 5 Pick 2 (TENN): Tyrus Thompson, OT, Oklahoma (C+)
Round 5 Pick 18 (S.D.): Vince Mayle, WR, Washington State (B-)
Round 7 Pick 10 (CAR): Tra'Mayne Bondurant, FS, Arizona (D)
Round 7 Pick 30: Mike Hull, ILB, Penn State (E)

Fills OG, C, and RT needs and Petty at QB, adds a Shazier-ish OLB in Striker, Ajayi could be a RB receiving threat, Mayle is quick for his size, Hull is a productive MLB, Bondurant is FS/nickel CB hybrid for DB depth.

Should we consider Nick O'Leary (TE from FSU) in Day 2?

Here's one I just did. A lot more likely than my first one but not sure if it's what we'd need:

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 17 (K.C.): La'el Collins, OT, LSU (A)
Round 2 Pick 12: Brett Hundley, QB, UCLA (A)
Round 2 Pick 17 (K.C.): Cody Prewitt, FS, Ole Miss (A)
Round 3 Pick 12: Hroniss Grasu, C, Oregon (A)
Round 3 Pick 17 (K.C.): Arie Kouandjio, OG, Alabama (A)
Round 4 Pick 17 (K.C.): Antwan Goodley, WR, Baylor (A)
Round 5 Pick 12: James Vaughters, OLB, Stanford (B+)
Round 7 Pick 30: Julian Wilson, CB, Oklahoma (B-)

Here is my latest.

Round 1 Pick 30 (N.E.): T.J. Clemmings, OT, Pittsburgh (A)
Round 2 Pick 12: Brett Hundley, QB, UCLA (A)
Round 2 Pick 21 (N.O.): Josue Matias, OG, Florida State (A-)
Round 3 Pick 18 (S.D.): Geneo Grissom, OLB, Oklahoma (A)
Round 4 Pick 1 (N.E.): Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor (C+)
Round 5 Pick 3 (JAX): Tyler Lockett, WR, Kansas State (A)
Round 5 Pick 12: Antwan Goodley, WR, Baylor (A)
Round 6 Pick 3 (JAX): Jake Smith, C, Louisville (B+)
Round 7 Pick 30: Rory Anderson, TE, South Carolina (B-)

They didn't like me taking 2 QB's but with the way the Rams QB situation is, I felt better to have a possible QB competition ( Bradford- if he restructures, Hundley and Petty ). It's way better than what they have had.

The 2 WR's was because of value where taken and because we still don't know what we have in Quick and Britt isn't getting any younger.

Not sure how much the team gets better there - and yeah I understand your point with the 2 QBs, but idk. At that point we could've taken Petty and Grayson and someone else in the 2nd .

You think the Rams are better off with Petty and Grayson over Hundley and Petty?

I don't think so. Grayson is more of a question mark than any of the 3.
