:agree:
NICE DRAFT....BUT, we need to draft a QB. It is a MUST in this draft and we definitely do not need to draft TWO running backs

KSU with you wanting a QB in on Day 3 thoughts on

Cooper
Cann/inside linemen starter
Grayson

While Grayson won't get the start this year the others two would greatly benefit our offense and Grayson gets valuable time behind Bradford

Grayson has passed Petty in most rankings currently. Petty has fallen to a late day 2 or day 3 pick, with Grayson now in the mix in round 3.

Exactly, so Grayson or Petty will be there when we pick at #8 in round 3. I would be ok with either, but I am REALLY liking Grayson's skill set more and more

I think Petty has the superior arm talent, but whether or not that results in a successful NFL career, who knows. He definitely has work to do.

My only issue with Petty is that he worked out of a spread and looked VERY uncomfortable under center at the Senior Bowl, but that can be worked on. Petty and Grayson both remind me of a stronger, more mobile version of Bradford.

Round 7 Pick 10: Karlos Williams, RB, Florida State (A)

Heavy offense which is what we need. The more I do this I realize that we really need Oline, O depth, QB (not a great draft for this) and OLB.

^^^^ still no QB. It is a good enough draft to snag Grayson or Petty with the 3rd round pick at #8 and take Reese Dismukes instead of Jaelen Strong with that 2nd rounder at #15. And instead of RB in the 7th, snag a WR there.

Pretty nice Rams mock from Walter

1. OT A. Peat. Even though Scherff was on the board. I would go Scherff if he's there.

2. WR. DGB. I think he will be gone by then but if he's there.

3. C. H. Grasu. Again Dismukes was still there. I would take Dismukes.

NFL draft profile comparisons don't exactly exude confidence in the QBs in this draft:

Jameis Winston - Eli Manning
Marcus Mariota - Colin Kaepernick
Brett Hundley - Jason Campbell
Garrett Grayson - Landry Jones
Bryce Petty - Austin Davis
Sean Mannion - Matt Schaub
Connor Halliday - Ryan Griffin

They only rate the top 3 as starter material.

Honestly, thats every QB draft. Id say on average a draft only produces one franchise QB. The Winston-Eli comparison is one Ive used in the past and I think its pretty spot on. I think Hundley is Kaepernick. Mariota could be anything.

Seeing this makes me hope Sammie can come back healthy.
