Only 5 Seahawks on NFL net top 100 players???

Wagner you could maybe make a case for. I don't think he deserves to be on the list as I don't even quite know if he is top-10 for his position (depending if you count the ILB's of the 3-4 defenses). When you wrote Avril's name it made me think that you were just being sarcastic and trying to get people to laugh but if you are being serious come on man that is one of the more homer things said in a while. He was decent but was below average against the run and only an average pass rusher. That doesn't scream top-100 player in the NFL. I mean you have to realize this is a very small list of players compared to how many are actually in the NFL. These are supposed to be the elite players in the NFL not the above average players.

Again I said Bennett probably should have been on the list but other than him I can't think of another Seahawk that deserved to be in the top-100. That doesn't mean you have a bad team it just means you have a very balanced team. My guess is of the next 100 players in the NFL say 15 of them would be in that grouping.

Seattle is only good because they are allowed to hold and have illegal contact down field. Every other team would get flagged but Seattle gets away with it because refs are lazy and don't want to call it. The NFL should start calling fouls same for all teams.

Who cares? What does it matter if someone (subjectively) ranked players and the seahawks (or any team) has only a few top ranked. Worry more about the outcomes on the field and less about paper stats.

Some seahawk fans have become a little too sensitive about their team. If someone bad mouths them respond with "who won the SB?" and move on.

I concur Denver almost had 10% of the top 100 guys and how did that work out for them?

But honestly I got no problem with it only being 5 assuming Earl Thomas, Richard Sherman, Lynch and Russell Wilson join Chancellor. Bennett and Avril are both good players but not superstars. Wagner was huge the 2nd half of the year after his ankle injury. If he plays at that level again this year he will be on the list next year. Harvin if he can stay healthy, big if I know, will likely be there to. You could maybe make an argument for Okung/Unger but neither was healthy or had their best year last year. I think 5 is about right.

It's true that analyst, experts, and fans still continue to undermine the Seahawks. I understand the feeling. I read the articles and hear it too. I'm just at a point where it doesn't affect me anymore, because I mean it shouldn't...we're the reigning Superbowl champions. That is the ultimate rebuttal to anything anyone has to say about our team. That should be more than enough.

Weird that the super bowl champ has HALF the players on this list that those two who Seattle beat on the way to the championship, One of those games in embarrassing fashion..........

First they choke away a game against a NY Giant team (2011) that barely made the playoffs, in a NFC Championship game, then they lose to a Raven team (2012) in the SB, again a team that was a wild card, then last year losing another NFC Championship game (2013) to their hated rivals, man that had to really suck.
Looks like the 49er blow their window of opportunity.
