Deal is worth a reported $33 M per year.

So Eugene? Can we spend that on some players next year or are you going to put it into your racehorses? Or just flat out spend it on booze?

Seriously though, this should be a good sign that the Sens will be increasing the player budget.

The Cast of NCIS is expensive.

I dont know, according to the Yahoo headline - "Coyotes to change name to Arizona" - I think the team name will be the Phoenix Arizona next season.

Maybe we're looking at this the wrong way, guys. Maybe the problem isn't Phoenix or Arizona, it's the name Coyotes. How about Arizona Haboobs?

“Wayne Gretzky is known as possibly the greatest American hockey player of all time,” read the caption. “He sent a fan craze across the nation and even into Canada and other countries because he was such a talented player. During his career in the NHL, he scored almost 3,000 goals. His skill on the ice far surpassed anyone else during his prime.”

Wow. I especially like the "even into Canada" part (lol).

/3,000 goals (I don't think so).

If I'm the Sharks, I ask the league to measure his pads.

DUCKS RE-SIGN D FISTRIC TO THREE-YEAR EXTENSION

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Defenceman Mark Fistric has agreed to a three-year, $3.8 million contract extension with the Anaheim Ducks.
The Ducks announced the deal Wednesday with Fistric, who has become a regular on the blue line in his first season with the overall NHL leaders.
Fistric has five points and a plus-8 rating in 27 games with the Ducks, who signed him as a free agent in August. The hard-hitting defenceman is second on the Ducks with 123 hits despite playing in only about half of their games this season.
The former first-round pick didn't crack Anaheim's lineup until mid-November when defenceman Luca Sbisa injured his right hand.
Fistric also has played for Dallas and Edmonton during his NHL career. He scored six points for the Oilers last season.

You think Mike Gillis wants a do-over on those 4 year extensions he gave the Sedins at the start of this season?

Or all the NTC's he gave out to those guys?
