I know Canucks fans would love Evander Kane, but I don't think the Jets need a defenseman - I could see it being for a top center, something they need

This is why it's frustrating that the Devils don't have a first round pick to deal this year. I really believe they are a legit top line player away from being a top to bottom solid team.

It's hard to imagine teams being willing to give up top centermen, they're very valuable - Evander Kane is a different player that can bring different tools to the table, but is it worth giving up a number one center for him? That's the question

there are still people involved in Jets management who were involved with the AHL Manitoba Moose where edler spent time ... and the rumour i saw was canucks prospect Brendan Gaunce would be part of a deal for Kane

and yah Statsny a top centre??? ... Ill give you that he will be in demand because he is one of the few available who can produce ... but going back to that availability thing ... he is gonna be a ufa ... why would he sign an extension with the Jets when there is a dearth of centres available as ufas and the cap ballooning in the off season?
