I'm surprised Torts didn't knock Kassian and Booth's heads together after the Sens 2nd goal.
It would have been warranted.

I can't complain really about anything the torts has done so far.
Even after losing 7 of 8, he has been very supportive of the team and they way they have been playing

Chris Kreider just scored and Torts ripped Alex Edler in front of everybody, so I guess that's not a frequent thing?

I don't see it as a big deal. Just once I'd like to see Capuano show some emotion. The Islanders players can sleepwalk through a game & he'd let it slide. It's embarrassing.

Because it's funny that you guys are trying to support the shit that Torts has been doing for many years now - it's really annoying - he almost poisoned Chris Kreider in New York and now you see him dominating today - and he's going to end up pissing off some of the key players there - you don't see any other head coach ripping the shit out of his players like Torts has the last two games

You don't see Darryl Sutter ripping his players, do you? Coach Q, Claude Julien, etc etc etc - that's why players respect those guys, because they will play hard for them knowing that they're not going to put them out there and embarrass them like that - these are NHL players, they don't need to be embarrassed in front of everybody - you praise publicly and criticize privately

I've seen Jack Capuano rip Nabby for his shitty goaltending, but him showing/not showing emotion has nothing to do with this team - 1) he's not a very good head coach period and 2) the Isles have a terrible defense and terrible goaltending - nobody could coach that team and make them better with the current roster

Sorry, I don't buy that. If the owner wasn't such a cheap S.O.B. a head coach with NHL experience could help this team. Nobody needs to tell me how bad the goaltending & defense is. This is the worst defense I've ever seen the Isles have. Fortunately they've got some good prospects coming. I just hope there's a new coach in place when they get to the NHL level in a year or two.

I just hate Torts. Don't like him; he seems like a jerk regardless of results. Jerk to the media, jerk on the bench, jerk to the other team. I get that results > everything, but one of the side effects of the result is that I root against Torts regardless of team affiliation.

If we picked him up, I would root for him but pray he never talked. But he would, because he's him.
