The only bright spot right now for the Isles is Vanek is finally going to play a damn game. Other than that it's been a nightmare. Our goaltending is awful & the defense is a trainwreck. Hamonic & MacDonald have to play almost 30 minutes a game because the bottom four are pathetic.

Don't take penalties and you'll probably win. That's my guess. The Pens are a bit of an offensive roller coaster at the moment. Geno is prime to break out though. He's feeling it. Don't let his lack of goals fool you, he's making a lot of plays out there.

I do like Backlund and I think he could thrive on the right team. I just don't think he's been given much of a chance with the Flames (or the right linemates).
