Or they could, you know, apply the cap for the whole season and playoffs. Maybe up it by 5-10 % since the roster can go larger.

Or better yet, eliminate the cap altogether or have a luxury tax - Let teams spend as much money as they want on players.

With 1 he’s basically saying no trading LTIR’d players which could restrict trades for injured players that teams want to play for them (like Riley Nash this year for Toronto). No fucking way the PA would ever agree to that.

With 2 I think he’s trying to get at something like the NBA and Bird rights. Which would be good.

3 would make it impossible to get college/AHL guys up. That would suck.
