It's funny right now but I bet if he keeps at it he'll get it figured out. Although he won't do it nearly as well/naturally of course.

I'm assuming they've done more market research than I have and have good reasons but it's always been confusing to me why a team with a black, yellow and silver colour scheme seems to have decided to really emphasize the yellow.

Apparently there used to be a team in Nashville at some time that had a similar scheme. The script looks awful. Like a little league baseball team.

If they put the three star patch from their regular jerseys in the center or the stylized "NP" they use in the middle it would be better, IMO.

Sure but I figure that they still managed to use "superman hair blue" (I did say black before but really I suppose it's technically not  ) as the main colour and yellow as one of the secondaries for the first 10 years or so without anyone pitching a fit about history  . Personally I would buy/wear an old Predators jersey but I'd never buy any of the yellows.

I always thought this was a sharp look:

Yep those are the ones that I liked. Could use some minor adjustments, maybe a little less silver on the sleeves and the 3 star logo on the shoulders instead of the arena one. Way better than walking around like a big fucking banana.

I had to wear the "Honey Bear" jersey for years in men's league and when that team folded I told myself "never again". I might even wear the Habs' colours first (I've already worn the Senators' colours although technically they used the Ottawa 67s jersey format).

Top 100 player in NHL history, puck.

Simmons still trying to carry water for him I see.

"This is almost heartbreaking: The great and honoured Jonathan Toews, playing more than 19 minutes a night with the Chicago Blackhawks, is 437th in NHL scoring in the early going. Chicago is tied for last in the Western Conference … Toews’ wingmate and salary mate, Patrick Kane, ranks 127th in league scoring. Toews is just 31, Kane is just 30"

One of these guys is on pace for 67 points and one is on pace for 15 points. While I'm sure that the Blackhawks would like better results from both of them I'm not sure that the results so far or the situations are all that comparable.

I think after a while you become desensitized to it but yes it is awful.

Don't worry guys, I did the research that you're all dying to know

Kane played in just 8 regular season games as a 15 year old in the only overlapping season, he spent most of the year playing midget. The Giants and Wheat Kings played just once that year, on October 25th. Kane's first game was December 13th. The teams did not meet in the playoffs. Unless there was some preseason bullshit (do the conferences even cross over in the preseason? I would think not) it sure seems like Reaves was in fact just making shit up.

I would also add that it took me three or four basic searches and about 5 minutes to get this info. Don't expect anyone in the media to know this though

Saw that Nashville sweater, a bit yikes IMO. Looks like it'll be a 1-off jersey.

Fleury wore the exact same awful yellow pads in junior too, he's been on my shit list for a while. And I mean that in the real way, not the Ryan Reaves way

I'm still pissed at Fleury for the 2004 WJHC

Marchand getting the pitches right in his wheelhouse and being able to David Ortiz it is not helping. The PP looked good, but couldn't finish.
