It's funny right now but I bet if he keeps at it he'll get it figured out. Although he won't do it nearly as well/naturally of course.
I'm assuming they've done more market research than I have and have good reasons but it's always been confusing to me why a team with a black, yellow and silver colour scheme seems to have decided to really emphasize the yellow.
Apparently there used to be a team in Nashville at some time that had a similar scheme. The script looks awful. Like a little league baseball team.
If they put the three star patch from their regular jerseys in the center or the stylized "NP" they use in the middle it would be better, IMO.
I always thought this was a sharp look:
Top 100 player in NHL history, puck.

I think after a while you become desensitized to it but yes it is awful.
It CAN get worse
Still barf inducing when they try to tone it down.

Don't worry guys, I did the research that you're all dying to know
Kane played in just 8 regular season games as a 15 year old in the only overlapping season, he spent most of the year playing midget. The Giants and Wheat Kings played just once that year, on October 25th. Kane's first game was December 13th. The teams did not meet in the playoffs. Unless there was some preseason bullshit (do the conferences even cross over in the preseason? I would think not) it sure seems like Reaves was in fact just making shit up.
I'm still pissed at Fleury for the 2004 WJHCFleury wore the exact same awful yellow pads in junior too, he's been on my shit list for a while. And I mean that in the real way, not the Ryan Reaves way
Gonna be a long night. Pens are facing their nemesis, the human stop sign.
