Maybe the Flames should pick up Hall just to win the draft lottery.

If you enjoy pain and suffering in your sports watching experience join us Pirate fans since they lack all of the fundamentals such as knowing which base to throw to, understanding how to run on the base paths, actually understanding what signs are for and much much more:suds:

Speaking of this nonsense did you see Trevor Cahill is pitching for the pirates tonight. :L
Not only are they void of young talent they keep bringing in retreads with no talent to begin with.
It’s ridiculous. If you get a chance check out Musgrove’s and Williams’ lines from their first starts with their new teams lol

Oh yeah I have Musgrove on my Fantasy team. I knew he would do well.

Williams is insane and how much the Pirates ruined him.
Can't wait to see how Taillon pitches tonight. Will be rooting for him to do well with all his past injury issues it would be nice to see him succeed. If he was still in Pittsburgh he would be in trouble.

Gonna take this moment to say I find the Pirates fans on these threads some of the most enjoyable. I don’t feel bad for you necessarily but it is refreshing to see that you do remember how to be miserable when most of your other teams are usually pretty good. Keep it up!

I’m old enough to remember the Pirates winning the series in ‘79. I was 12 so I can’t be that bitter.

I’ll save the We Are Family video. I don’t want to rub it in to @forty_three

I was 6 so I barely remember '79.
I had the pleasure to enjoy the awful 80's, Sid Bream's slide and the next 20 years after that.

To put in perspective how bad the Pirates are:
Out of any team who has been to the world series (Mariners excluded) the Pirates have gone the longest since losing a world series. Sounds like a good thing until you realize they haven't lost since 1927 and only appeared in 3 since that time. And outside the Indians they have the longest drought since winning '79.

Well aside from the Leafs, things have been pretty good for Toronto professional sports teams with recent championships in the NBA, MLS and yes even the CFL lol. Blue Jays haven't won the World Series since '93, but at least they made some noise in the playoffs several years ago.

Hey, the Pirates made some noise in the playoffs several years ago, if you count losing 2 of 3 Wild Card play-in games (one shut-out) and a first round loss to the Cardinals.

But Cueto dropping the ball on the mound while the fans taunted him was worth it all.

Less not forget the last time they won a playoff series was '79 since the wildcard play-in game doesn't count.
