Lebrun post incoming: "Why Krueger changed his mind and totally did a 180 that I could see coming a mile away"I don't get this post - Lebrun specifically mentioned that Krueger doesn't want to coach and yet Lebrun's post is being used as a reference lol.
I don't imagine Botterill speaking to Krueger about becoming his boss so...?
I mean, I'll say that he probably deserved longer than a 48 game strike-shortened season to prove himself but he did guide them to the 7th-worst record in the league that year.He was doing some decent work with Edmonton before they let him go.
All decent points but you're forgetting his Premier League connections - he may be able to pick up a few guys at the transfer deadline on free transfer or loan. You never know.I mean, I'll say that he probably deserved longer than a 48 game strike-shortened season to prove himself but he did guide them to the 7th-worst record in the league that year.
He's being hired and paid by Buffalo based almost entirely on coaching a made up international team at a best-on-best tournament that took place 3 years ago. Considering that Buffalo's roster is still pretty thin, they still don't have a goalie worth a damn, their second-best forward could be on his way out of town this summer and they play in a division with 3 of the 5 best regular season teams in the league last season the odds are stacked pretty high against him.
It's okay if they do poorly in the Cup because they can still grab make a run in continental competition. All decent points but you're forgetting his Premier League connections - he may be able to pick up a few guys at the transfer deadline on free transfer or loan. You never know.

Cash is really not an issue in Buffalo. And when your team is - and has been for a long time - a bunch of tires burning inside a dumpster, and you're trying to convince a guy that you're not going to can him in two years (or less) you have no choice but to overpay.I mean, I'll say that he probably deserved longer than a 48 game strike-shortened season to prove himself but he did guide them to the 7th-worst record in the league that year.

Not disagreeing, and Krueger could very well be a great HC and get this team going.Cash is really not an issue in Buffalo. I'm not buying the Panarin sign and trade hype either.Ryan Callahan at #3, Connor Brown at #7, Nikita Zaitsev at #12 and Milan Lucic at #15.

Oh, and I'll admit I completely mis-read the headline as Kesler, not Kessel. 'Bout choked laughing until I realized my mistake.Ryan Callahan at #3, Connor Brown at #7, Nikita Zaitsev at #12 and Milan Lucic at #15.
