This Sabres team has me confused. They're at the 1/4 mark and have a winning record and have won 5 straight. Am I allowed to be excited? When does the inevitable heartbreak set in?

Their top line would be getting a lot of publicity if they played in a bigger market. They've been one of the league's best.

Hope for their sake that STL pick comes in at 11th or something because the other pieces they got for ROR have, to put it kindly, sucked balls offensively. That isn't looking like any better of a deal today than it did at the time. The fact the fortunes of the teams involved have gone as they have is very ironic.

I shook my head a bit at the Skinner deal when it went down, but I'll happily admit I was wrong about that one. Contract year for him and it looks like he's earning himself a nice raise.

I wouldn't mind if STL got to defer this year so that they could have two 1st round picks in consecutive years.

As you say, none Berglund, Sobotka, or Thompson has really impressed, but they haven't been liabilities either. After the last few years, a series of warm bodies is actually an upgrade.

A seven goal lead is pretty safe. An 8 goal lead is the second worst lead in hockey.

OV completely open from his office with a half second left in a tied game.
Price makes an amazing save with his blocker sliding across on a heater.
OV stops and just starts clapping for the save and goes over and gives Price a fist bump.

Price had a great night against OV. The Great 8 got 2 but against a lesser goalie he might have had 4 or 5 tonight. He was hopping.

Tom Wilson has been fantastic since coming back - 5 points in 4 games. #Schadenfreude

It was the NHL Network Saturday night game this week. When NHL Network shows a game, Center Ice blacks it out everywhere

NHL Network seems to be picking up a HNIC game every Saturday. Usually Toronto so far, but the Leafs did not play Saturday.

I'm sure you're correct buth the game on my NHL Network Saturday was the Rangers - Panthers. Plus the regular definition feed was not blocked out so that's odd too.
