Weirdly that's what rings most true to me. She describes him like he's a guy who is confident he'll get away with whatever he wants.

Normally, because well the internet has made access to disgusting details so readily available, I'm really affected too much by stuff. Like, I'll get the righteous anger or disgust, but honestly this account was frightening. The smirks, the appearing in the bathroom, not taking no for an answer. When people have an image of sexual assault, I think they go towards the SVU over the top horrifying stuff. Bound, etc. But THIS? This is the stuff that happens often and goes unreported because what the hell can that girl prove against a multi-millionaire pro athlete?

Original source is staying rather anonymous. Sarah Connors is a pretty prominent blogger on twitter where I found the imgur source, but she's staying quiet about the blog it came from. This story was a comment on a blog piece (that was apparently speaking well of Kane? Maybe one of those "Kane for Masterson" idiots?), the comment was screened and removed, but screen shot and shared with name redacted.

Original tweet. It was a livejournal account, but she redacted names/source to keep as private as possible, because I think her reach is a lot greater than the reach of the blog it came from.

Judge orders unsealing of NHL executive’s emails

Among the documents that are now poised to be unsealed are emails sent by Campbell in which he uses various obscenities. A 2013 email chain will also be unsealed in which Campbell calls an NHL team trainer a “freaking idiot” after the trainer suggested methods for treating concussed players.

Although I have tremendous sympathy for the person writing the account, I am going to refrain from going any further. It is not outside the realm of possibility that the account is untrue. In fairness, I cannot say one way or the other, so I will say nothing.

I do hope the individual files a formal complaint and it is investigated through proper channels.

People are tearing it apart because "the team was already on the plane", questioning the timeline. Which is all fine, I suppose...but I still will never understand what people think the motivation is.

Doesn't hold water, either - it was a Saturday night game, their next game wasn't until Wednesday and the game didn't end until about 1 AM Eastern time. Why would they make the players fly home that night and get back to Chicago at 5 AM for no reason? They almost certainly stayed the night and left in the morning.
