John Scott should have never been an all star in the 1st place. Still it was a bit childish for him to be traded if it was to get him out of the All Star game.

Sure you can say that but star players are often voted in even years when they are not doing great. Even if its a down season for Scott, the fans still want to see him.

Going off on a tangent here, but I'm normally pulling into the office just as Dreger gets on TSN Radio and I usually give it a listen because every now and then Bob McKenzie gives him something to talk about.

This morning, he talked about Phaneuf's charitable activities and how that makes him undeserving of the criticism he gets in Toronto. For ten minutes.

1) I really haven't heard anything approaching heated criticism of Phaneuf in months. Maybe a bad game or really noticeable mistake here and there but he's a candidate for most improved Leaf under Babcock and is on pace to hit 40 pts for the first time since 2012, so I have no idea what persuaded Dreger to choose now to build a (bad) argument about why Dion is a good player/captain/person.

2) As I said above, Dreger really only has any meat to share if Bobby Mac throws him some from the big boys table. It's gotten really noticeable how little he gets from GM's who aren't his cousin. I think the only "news" he's broken this season was an OHL trade.

Thinking they and the Leafs are about to make it two years in a row where they have made a multi-player deal for a first round pick. They'd be a good fit for Reimer and maybe they take the Bozak as well.

Trade him to Detroit for Jimmy Howard. He'd make a nice backup to Mrazek.

I just got NHL 16 and I traded Brandon Dubinsky and Jack Johnson to Nashville for Jones instead of Johansen. I created a Zach Werenski and put Foligno with Joey and Saad. I have won 14 straight games.

Haven't had to scream "BLOCK SHOTS!" once.

Something has happened to Pekka Rinne and it's not good if you are a fan of the Preds.

Yeah, he's got the yips bad.

We went to the Nashville game when they were here (and I was sitting near the Preds press box, I could have stabbed Poile and didn't - that'll learn me), and he looked off. My son was excited because Rinne and Bob are two of his three favorites (Price is the other). Bob was stellar, Rinne looked like a beer league goalie.

Losing Mitch Korn could be Nashville's downfall. He's strong on x'es and o's coaching, but he can also treat the goalie's head. He had Hasek, Dafoe and Kolzig at one point...

Rinne's got something rattling around up there and if he can't fix it, Preds are sunk.

Maybe the Jackets will trade Bob to them for Fisher. He was a #1C at come point.
