Former owner William "Boots" Del Biaggio says this would have never happened if the league he was still around.

i know you dont like the tin foil stuff but Bob Mac basically insinuated that the league orchestrated the trade away from the Pacific division so they could then say he wasnt allowed to go the ASG because he was now in another division in addition to being on an AHL roster ... so suddenly when a respected hockey media guy with alot of reach, calls the league out >>> ... about face ... John Scott is officially captain on the Pacific division all star team :noidea:

I like to think I keep an open mind, but in this case, I think it's pretty clear than the league didn't want John Scott participating in the All-Star game. If they want to control the participants in the All-Star game, there are several ways to accomplish this task (the easiest being providing a list of available participants from each team). The bottom line is that John Scott didn't ask for any of this, so to go to him and ask him to decline and then when he doesn't uproot his family (as previously mentioned, his wife is pregnant with twins) and send them across the continent via a "trade" stinks to high heaven.

Not only "Across the continent" but to St John's. Newfoundland. That's not cool.

I heard Lebrun in the cesspool say yesterday that the league asked him to not go to the ASG and his response was to the effect that ... Im gonna be out of the league by next season so why wont they just let me have this moment

So Brooksie went in on the Rangers and AV, this team is spiraling out of control. Too much tied up in a declining defense.

During the all star game Scott should grab someone and start throwing punches, then look to the camera and ask "NHL, how you like your all star game now?".

Off of Deadspin's story's comments:

This reversal brought to you by the 2016 Honda Accord. With a rear-view backup camera and impressive all wheel drive you’ll be able to backtrack on having a player traded and buried in the AHL in safety and comfort.

John Scott should have never been an all star in the 1st place. Still it was a bit childish for him to be traded if it was to get him out of the All Star game.

Man, what a rough season for Drew Miller, first the broken jaw and now ACL surgery.

/His brother Ryan Miller missed some games with a groin issue as well.

He's such a great penalty killer, rough season for sure. Hopefully he comes out of it healthy.
