But then I looked. TOR has beaten DAL twice this year. So, by the power vested in me, I hereby proclaim WAS as the 2015-16 Cup Champions.

I can totally see this happening.

Oil offers RNH, Jackets are offering a package like Rychel, Wennberg, +. Preds call back and say "You know what Jarmo? Sorry, but we're gonna take Edmonton's deal. Nuge can help us now."

And Jarmo panics and says "How about Johansen? Would you take Johansen?"

Hey, it took the Leafs being 11 points out and on a 5 game losing streak getting outscored 19-5 and losing their best offensive player for me to let the tanks out of the garage.

Not a season where anybody has been really actively tanking, anyway. Hell the Oilers are down another good player and they're still only 6 pts out.

On a Blue Jackets board, I am seeing people saying that RNH is better than Johansen defensively and that we were lucky they accepted our meager offer.


The cold has frozen some people's brains, it seems.

He might've been. I personally would rather Jones, but Poile is probably on a hotter seat than people think. He needed a centre like the way Kanye needed Jesus.

Honest question: who are those four? In the East I think it's basically the Caps and...no one. Chicago probably can be seen that way after this tear. Dallas I guess too. That's about the only three I'd put in the non-mediocre category. Kings, Panthers? Ehhhh. Even Dallas is on a 3-5-2 run. I'd rank NHL with Caps *large canyon* Hawks, Stars.

Yeah, if that was the only offer on the table, I think he'd have taken it. Maybe gotten a pick in there too to balance it.

Washington, Chicago, LA, and Dallas are the four (but Dallas is the shakiest of the group because they need to find
