No fans in the NHL have been as lucky as we have over the last decade to watch a single player. I feel very lucky. Congrats, Alex Ovechkin, and thank you for so many great memories and more to come.

Think about it pretty cool year for goal milestones:

AO - 500
Iginla - 600
Jagr - passing Dionne and most likely Hull.
Zetterberg - 300
Datzyuk - 300
Hossa - most likely hitting 500.
Nash - most likely hitting 400.
Stamkos - most likely hitting 300.
Then the chance of: Carter, Malkin, Hartnell and Parise hitting 300.

Ovechkin gets to work on the next 500... gets #501 in the third period and takes the league goal scoring lead. Quite a night.

Good stat. The second highest goal scorer since Ovechkin came in the league was Iginla, who has 351 goals in the same span.
