Snow manage to snatch up 3 years of UFA as well. Casey is the exact kind of role player teams need. I'm pretty happy with this. I think this means curtains for Matt Martin though.

I don't get what that has to do with what you said regarding being happy about Phil Kessel winning the cup rather than pissed off about it. How does "not being pissed about Kessel winning the Cup" = "ok with past Leaf team-building"?

I am not following the thought, either.

Like you, I am happy for Phil. I hope he brings the Cup to T.O. during his day, fills it with hot dogs and blows farts at Steve Simmons.

At the same time, I am generally happy with how things are improving with the team. They have the potential of being a good forward corps in a couple of years, and if they good lock up a stud #1 D (if Rielly isnt that guy) and a good goalie, the team will be very good soon.

Honestly I do not know, I assumed he does at least somewhat because I remember people thinking the Canadiens should have made him the head coach years ago before Carolina did. He was also a captain on the Habs and aren't people fussy if the captain doesn't speak French?

If he doesn't, is he wise enough to learn it now just in case?
If he doesn't, is it possible he gets a pass because he won a cup on the team?

Dammit, now I am not as happy as I was last night.
