I think you mean the opposite? :noidea:

Nope, I had it right. Quick glance at WOWY numbers for this season show Gudbrandson at 44.7 GF% and 43.7 CF% without Campbell and 62.5 GF% and 52.5 CF% with him.

On the other hand Campbell without Gudbrandson had the same CF% (52.5) and his GF was actually slightly higher (66.3).

I also think Campbell is pretty underrated and could be a real nice pickup for a contender this offseason, but that's another topic entirely.

Yeah but Gudbranson's numbers are pretty weak overall. That was the point I was making - he should've secured himself now before he gets exposed, especially with big money going Ekblad's way in the near future.

I guess there's always the possibility that Ekblad is also a beneficiary of playing with Campbell (I like you think he's underrated or at the very least has been worth his contract to a point) but I think he can hold his own.

Ah OK, I misread the "opposite" comment as you saying that Gudbrandson was the one helping Campbell.

Campbell is often the guy I think of when people are talking about Gardiner.

Always thought the Leafs missed an opportunity by not trading for him when he went to Florida. If he had spent the last five years on a contender people would think much higher of him. That contract just overshadowed how good he actually is.

Well, keep in mind that Randy was the coach then. Does Campbell seem like his type of defenseman? They would have probably just ended up buying him out during the summer of potato.

This is the same Randy being interviewed for the Flames head coaching vacancy, right? He'll get hired and turn TJ Brodie into a stay-at-home defenseman.

So what you're saying is we might be able to trade for Brodie in a couple years?

Nice.

Well we'll get 2 Game 7's to decide the West. Tonight we find out if we get a Game 7 in the East as well.

Okposo reiterates agent & #Isles haven't talked all season, still haven't started talks. Uncertain, but "all good things come to an end."

I wouldn't sign him either but the Isles are going to struggle to find someone to replace his points.

On the plus side, I could see Garth Snow doing a lot of crazy shit this summer so that'll be fun. Wouldn't shock me if Ryan Miller wound up there, you've gotta think he's going to finally get a star winger to play with JT, Hamonic needs to be dealt with, Nielsen is a UFA as well...should be fun.

In Soviet Russia, bread lines up for you.

I was struggling with how to make this type of Smirnoff joke and you ran into the same problem that I had.. the joke is done the "right" way, but the details of the joke are all backwards.

There's still a perfect commie food shortage joke to be made here though, I'm sure of it. We'll figure it out if we keep at it.

Breaking #Isles news: Travis Hamonic has rescinded his trade request, Newsday has learned. More to follow.
Well okay then lol.

That's really good for the Isles. They're on the right track defensively.
