Marc Crawford in the cesspool saying he has spoken to Ottawa about the coaching job :noidea:

He tweeted about how he was interested.. not the same thing. The buzz out of Ottawa right away was that the Sens weren't interested in Crawford or Carlyle.

Julien (obviously), Yeo (meh), Hitch (if fired) seem to be their top choices according to those around the team. Whoever it is it better be a guy who is organizationally strong and organized after the systemless Cameron bullshit I've watched for most of this year.

He tweeted something?

They replayed the interview and something i didnt hear the first time ... HE contacted the Sens about the job ... so didnt mean to cause you worry lol

and Dave Pratt just said "HE HAS TO BE THE FRONTRUNNER FOR THE SENS JOB" so you know now for sure he wont get it or is being considered in any way lol

/Crow sounds a bit down ... he made the tour of hockey arenas in the past 2 weeks with his agent ... reached out to 9 teams ... now going to Tuscany with his wife to drink wine

someone may need to make a sad jordan marc crawford

Honestly I don't think Crow is THAT bad. I hope he isn't the choice, don't get me wrong, but it might not be that bad.

Carlyle on the other hand?? :burt:

Still better than Cameron though.

Sometimes tough to gauge the validity of these things, but there are whispers of Jimmy Vesey interest in Buffalo, and playing w/Jack Eichel
Hey, I'd like to play with him.

Hopefully he wants to be around pops more, though.

I just don't think there are many coaches whose heydays were in the 90s-early 00's who can run a bench today. Crow wouldn't come off as a guy who would be able to.

I dont really agree ... I think he should get another shot ... coaching in Europe can give a guy a different element/outlook/maturity ... worked for Bob 'Artley

Bob 'Artley is on the coaches hot seat - Flames struggle out of the gate and he will get canned.

I know this was somewhat tongue-in-cheek anyway but dad is in MA I believe. Unless he's been given a new Shanajob.

:heh:

Honestly, I am cheering for you guys. My unofficial count says you have the most former Oshawa Generals of any team in the NHL. Good enough for me. Go Isles !!

My unofficial count has 'experts' picking the Panthers 99.9% of the time. I didn't realize there was such a disparity between a 103 and 100 point team. Isles home record was pretty solid this season, but yeah "Panthers in 5" sounds about right.....

Panthers are a bit inflated because of that huge 12 game streak they went on. Bill Torrey and Potvin can eat shit until the series is over. Then I'll go back to liking them.
