With both the Devils and Canes losing last night and likely becoming sellers that means there is only one team at the moment outside of the playoffs with any realistic shot of getting in (Minny) with a month and a half of the season left to play.

I think Minny is done like dinner, 7 points behind the Preds for a wildcard spot is going to be awfully tough to make up, the Avs might still have a chance being only 3 points behind (one more game played than the Preds though).

Yeah, you're right, it does look like it will be five teams from the Central and the three California teams from the Pacific.

Yeah, you're right, it does look like it will be five teams from the Central and the three California teams from the Pacific.

You can argue Philly still has a shot too but I just think they have too many holes to keep up.

Stalock's a UFA anyway though, you can sign him for next year without bothering to claim him.
