Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if a team like Edmonton did that. Or any of the teams that are first in line and way out of the playoff picture. I sincerely am so confused by this move.

What I really don't get is how they didn't trade him. One year, $1.5M deal? For a guy with those kind of numbers? I get that he's not exactly LA King material, but you can't tell me there are teams lined up to give up a draft pick or mid level prospect for him. Honestly, for a contending team who is cap strapped, this is a genius pick up. The guy may be a third pair sort now, but $1.5M...those guys are gold at the deadline.

I...I don't like where this is going. If so, then you're out of the damn game, and you're in concussion protocol. I know in game you can't enforce that if a player lies to you and doesn't divulge symptoms, but if he's in the media saying that crap, congrats you're sitting for a few days while we evaluate. If you're using it as an excuse, shame on you...if you're hiding symptoms in a game, shame on you. No winning there.

Is there a way to isolate Schenn's play since going to LA? Has he been better there? I think I've watched one Kings game (vs. Ana) and he seemed aware if unspectacular. Probably the best they could've hoped for.

I'm sure there are sites that keep rolling data, but I know the HERO charts are bigger sample size, all two year increments I think. I mean, those could be misleading in regard to Ehrhoff's time in LA too, but I still think it shows the value he'd have on the market.

This shows some interesting graphs that show Ehrhoff over time. This season is on par with his usual, exception being that his G/60 and P/60 are down, overall...however his 5v5 G/60 and P/60 are average. So PP time is likely a reason there. Possession is still good. Pretty normal year for him.
Still looking for Schenn LA specific stuff.

Yup. If they have a NMC then they can't be sent to the minors, so I'd assume they can't be waived either.

Schenn's stats over time. So, offensively producing more points...but look at the bottom right chart to see all you need. All below 50%. Ehrhoff's GF% was not pretty this year. But, again...$1.5M and very tradeable.
