After Derek Stepan fractured his fibula in practice, Martin St. Louis sent a text message to New York Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault, offering his services through center ice for the next four to six weeks.

“If you need me in the middle, I’m ready,” St. Louis typed.

Stepan goes down while St. Louis earns nickname "Lucky Pierre"

After a few weeks (or a whole summer) of bad news and negative vibes - FINALLY something positive in Jacket Towne.

Ryan Murray back on the ice.

They also sent Bjorkstrand back to Junior. A little surprised that they did it so early, especially with 2 forwards likely missing for extended time. They sent 3 to AHL, one to Junior and released 2 from PTOs.

All six played last night. I didn't watch, was it that bad? 2-1 score with Bob and Flower in nets according to the box score doesn't *sound* bad.

By all accounts, he was absolutely dreadful prior to getting injured. Consider him deadpooled.

I must say, I like our lottery odds more and more each day. Really starting to think Kessel Phaneuf et al will be gone before the end of the season. This team might be that terrible.

Gosh, I can't wait until "in games wearing GoPro" is a Corsi stat modifier.

I have long said that I would pay to watch a game shot only from a goalie's helmet, provided the mics were all ice level and there were no announcers.

Just wait a decade or less for you to experience it with a VR headset. This is an untapped market basically because the technology is in its infancy. Once the hardware catches up, look out.

Using VR, you can be sitting on your couch yet be on the glass, or courtside, or right above the dugout, etc. Or with the go pro, like you said, you can be in the action.
