this is montreals fault and PKs win. He took the smaller deal for two years and won the norris, this is the gamble Montreal wanted to take and lost. they have to pay him.

It's a very good contract. Andy Greene is a stud. Guy logs a ton of minutes, plays solid D, chips in on the PP. Now with A-Train and Fayne gone he's pretty much our go to guy on the PK and likely our future captain.

Montreal Canadiens meth kingpin arrested and Puck Daddy has a field day:

The suspect was found to be in possession of 66 grams of magic mushrooms, 15 grams of cocaine, 257 grams of marijuana, 3.8 grams of powered ecstasy, 10 ecstasy pills stamped with the Montreal Canadiens logo, 8.5 methamphetamine pills with an ice logo, and three methamphetamine pills in the shape of legos. Police also confiscated a digital scale, the suspect’s cell phone and a quantity of cash.

The parking lot bust was followed by a search of the suspect’s home where police found 236 methamphetamine pills with the ice logo, 46 methamphetamine lego pills, and 267 MDMA Montreal Canadien pills.

Well that sounds Hab-it forming.

Obviously, these dealers know what they’re doing in going with the Canadiens’ logo. Who would want to take Edmonton Oilers MDMA, and be perpetually waiting for it to kick in? Or Ottawa Senators meth, which costs half of what it did three years ago and is about one-fourth as effective? Or Toronto Maple Leafs mushrooms, a fungus growing in Ontario since 1967?

80% - 24 of 30 NHL teams have captains as of July 31, 2014.

29.6 - The average age of a NHL captain. Bryce Salvador (38) is the oldest while Gabriel Landeskog (21) is the youngest.

2.9 - The average tenure of current NHL captains. For the missing 6 teams I assumed a zero year tenure should they name a captain later this summer.

9.6 - The average years of NHL experience for captains.

41.2 - The average draft choice for NHL captains. Mark Giordano (Undrafted), Henrik Zetterberg (210), Andrew Ference (208), Bryce Salvador (138) and Jamie Benn (129) are notable late draft picks. Sidney Crosby, Joe Thornton, Alexander Ovechkin, John Tavares and Steven Stamkos were all selected first overall.

16.1 - The average number of NHL playoff games played by captains.

.5 - Average number of Stanley Cups won. Andrew Ladd, Jonathan Toews and Dustin Brown all have won 2 Stanley Cups.

7 - The number of captains not acquired via the draft. 4 were acquired through trades, while the other 3 were acquire via free agency.

1 - Number of NHL captains that went undrafted. I know I mentioned it before, but Mark Giordano deserves to be mentioned twice.
