Dare I say comeds is the Lady Byng of fantasy players...

:bolt:
I do not mind them being calculated, I just feel they should be a negative stat and whomever has the least should win that category.

Whoa!!

But seriously Comeds, it's easy to find high scorers who DON'T take penalties. Harder to find the guys who score and end up in the box regularly/take fighting majors.

This is not good news, Collins has been credited with much of the innovation (internet, web based presence etc.) in the last several years. I hope the league can find a suitable replacement.

7 goals on 20 shots??? Did Niemi and Lehtonen have a vodka-swilling contest pre-game?

There were all grade A chances. Dallas D sucks. Niemi and Lets-them-in are just the cherries on top.

Dallas D reminds me of Ottawa's; if Karlsson/Klingberg aren't brilliant it's a Chinese fire drill in their own end. Both were brutal last night.

In fact, watching last night's game got me thinking how there are some pretty serious similarities between the two teams.

Neither has trouble scoring. Dallas obviously has the better high end talent up front but Ottawa probably has better depth and room for growth. Benn and Seguin are just ridiculous though.

Both teams have that one awesome puck moving D. Both have one or two other decent D-men (Oduya/Methot, Demers/Ceci). The rest of the D corps is a work in progress for both teams. That's putting it nicely. Both REALLY need an upgrade here.

Ottawa has Anderson, who is better than the two in Dallas when he's healthy, but they have not much else that's ready for the NHL after that.

In short? Unless both these teams upgrade their D, neither is gonna scare any of the big boys in their respective conferences.

I've always thought Dallas was a good landing spot for Phaneuf. Leafs would probably have to take Letthemin back though, which would suck but still worth it to shave 4 years of Double Dion burden off the top.

Dallas really needs to cut ties with Let-them-in, I mean how many years of seeing this guy give up back-breaking goals do you need before you realize he just can't deliver the type of goaltending you need to win in the playoffs?

Honestly, I never understood why they were to begin with. In Fantasy Football, are there points for holdings? PIs? Personal fouls? No, because that's idiotic.
A day later and I am liking this idea more and more. I imagine being glued to the second half of a MNF games while muttering "Please, just one roughing the passer penalty is all I need."

In Atlanta the story was he was lazy and ate junk food all the time. Wonder if his work ethic has improved any.

Fun fact of the day.

Tyler Bozak has as many points this year as Phil Kessel.

So I guess not quite the same prolific duo as Hull and Oates, then?

I just read Mario and Sid had a big falling out. How am I supposed to have a happy Thanksgiving now?

Sidney should never have served Mario decaf when Lemieux went through that Tim Horton's drive-thru.

Yeah, Lemeiux has come out debunking this rumor about him and Crosby having a falling out. This would explain Crosby's poor play this year though.
