That's a good explanation...I guess we all get so used to the rule being dictated as perpendicular, but that's not how it's written. It's a hit from behind that causes someone to crash into the boards...in other words that hit.

He's from the Winnipeg area, yes? That Vancouver commute could be a tough one. Hell, isn't Toronto closer to Winnipeg than Vancouver is?

I realize it's not as cut and dried as I'm stating in in this post, but as a direct result of Nino's actions, another player was sent to hospital. A former NHL referee looked at the play and deems it worthy of suspension. The DOPS doesn't even want to call in Nino for a hearing. What am I missing?
