James Mirtle ‏@mirtle 10s

Nashville has signed Mike Ribeiro. One year deal worth about $1-million.

Well, there's the fill-in for Mike Fisher. I don't think there's much tread left on rat-boy's tires though.

Averaged a point-per-game just a season ago. He could keep his head down and connect well with James Neal.

Nashville is a strange duck for me - They seem to be in no-man's land (not good enough to contend, not bad enough for a lottery pick). They're doing a very good impression of the Calgary Flames circa 2009-2013.

OUCH !!!! ..... and for the same reason , they have a goalie that hides the need for major change

Exactly Harry - Kipper was great, but he sure hid a lot of warts on the Flames with his fantastic play.

Every player they add lowers the chance that they offer sheet Johansen. And they are the ones I was worried would actually do it.

Speaking of Johansen:

"Our" Second line centre.

Watch out if they lose Weber. Won't be no hiding of anything then.

He would fetch a king's ransom in return, but after shelling out all that money to keep him, I highly doubt the Preds would move him.

So, the Preds have recently inked Olli Jokinen, Mike Ribeiro, and Derek Roy. That's not too shabby.

The Preds already have a bunch of forwards under contract, they can't be done after those moves

Good riddance to awful experiments.

I would have taken him back as a depth guy. If nothing else the dude was the best Leaf defenseman on the PK last season. Hell he was better than Gleason for a quarter of the price, yet for some reason he had to sit in the press box and watch him.
