If memory serves, it was @blindbaby who coined the nickname Luke Chien for the veteran defenseman. Dan Porkshack for Hamhuis is right up there as well.

Yeah, being a pseudo tough guy with the game out of reach - The crazy thing is he was being praised by the HNIC panel for these acts and the only reason I think it's the case is that Kane plays for the Oilers. If the tables are turned and if Matthew Tkachuk is doing this in a blowout win for the Oilers, he's getting raked over the coals by the same panel.

Yup, I'll take credit for those two peccadilloes.

Rempe really is a sideshow freak. He throws them but he catches a lot of bombs. I posted on here a couple years back when I watched a whl game where he was in a fight against Vancouver Giants Zack Ostapchuk and got one punched. Hes going to do anything to stick but he needs to learn how to protect himself.

I have no idea what it would take to get Necas out of Carolina but I want the Leafs all over that one if this is true.

Citing a "reliable" source, Larry Brooks of the New York Post reports(opens in a new tab) the Carolina Hurricanes are willing to listen on forward Martin Necas.

The 25-year-old centre has 18 goals and 42 points in 53 games this season after posting 28 goals and 71 points in 82 games last season. Necas could be in for a significant raise from his current $3 million salary as he hits restricted free agency this July.

Selected 12th overall in the 2017 draft, Necas has 91 goals and 232 points in 338 games with the Hurricanes.

Carolina is closing on their sixth straight trip to the postseason and looking to take a final step forward after falling in the conference final last year. The team currently sits second in the Metropolitan Division, seven points back of the New York Rangers.

Could I perhaps interest you in Ty Dellandrea instead?

lol - He's an agitator, that's for sure. I think I'll pass on Ty and I'm not dead set on Logan, that Roope Hintz guy would also look pretty good in Calgary (we'll toss in Hanifin along with Tanev for Roope).
