Sure if they got by NE and then SF in the SB. Money is right , Ravens special teams spotted Denver 14 points but Manning threw the pick in OT
I'm with @cdumler7 on this one, I think if Denver hangs on to beat the Ravens we go on to win the Super Bowl. We would have gotten the Patriots at home, and we gave the Ravens a much tougher game than the 49ers did. Sadly, though, we never got to find out.

Actually I think that was the best team we had during the Manning era. Top 5 offense, top 5 defense, and amazing special teams. It really felt like we were destined to win it all that season. That was the second most crushing defeat I've ever experienced in my time as a Broncos fan.

I agree, it's a bit ridiculous to speculate what would have happened if one play had been different, and then further speculate that the remaining two games would have automatically been won by that team.

I'm not saying that. Sheesh people. That in my opinion and the opinion of many Bronco fans and analyst was the best Broncos team with Peyton Manning here. We had all 3 units playing at a very high level and hadn't even had a game closer than a touchdown since like October of that season. We were just blowing most teams out. That is what I meant that it should have been our best chance at winning a Super Bowl. Not that we would have won it say we got past Baltimore but that I thought we were truly the best team in the league playing at the highest level heading into the playoffs. That Bye week honestly I think hurt us.

The bye week did hurt, that team was just on such a ridiculous roll and I do think it broke up that momentum they had going. However, I think the ridiculous cold that day was the biggest factor. Manning just wasn't himself like he had been all season and I think it was the cold that did him in.

What blows my mind most about that game is the way the defense performed. They had been lights out all season, and then they give up 31 points? I never saw that coming. If you had told me Denver would score 35, I would have predicted that the Broncos would win by double digits. I thought 24 was about the max Baltimore would score (nobody had put more than that on Denver during their win streak). I still shake my head at the way the defense played that day.

For me the Rahim Moore while a terrible play it was Champ Bailey that shocked me. All year he had looked lights out for us at the Corner position. Then all of a sudden it just looked like he was in quick sand trying to run to keep up. Could have again just been the cold that those older players just were not quite ready physically for such a drastic change. Crazy thing is the next week in Denver it was like 55 degrees on that Sunday.

Totally agree on Champ Bailey. I couldn't believe how poorly he played. Sadly that game just turned out to be the beginning of the end for Champ.

I soon as I saw what the theme was I knew what the Seahawk would be and I wasn't disappointed.

Honorable mention if you're a Hawk fan might be this one:

This one probably hurt more. My generation of Hawks fans had never seen success and when we got a little tiny taste of hit, we got straight backhanded back to reality.

If I remember correctly, this was the play that finally convinced the owners that instant replay needed to come back.

Basically, yes. I only have very vague memories of the loss to the Redskins. The loss to the 49ers though is vivid.

Probably for the best, you wouldn't have liked it at all.
