On Stafford's benching

Apparently, Caldwell told Stafford at the half that he was going to bench him if he threw another interception. Apparently Stafford himself revealed this to the media in post-game interviews. Also, Stafford was not made part of the post-game press conference for the first time...maybe ever?

He says he was bad and the QB starter spot is a coaches decision.

Jon Kitna got benched after a meltdown with 3 interceptions against the Packers in week 2 (thought it was week 3 until I looked it up) 2008. Kitna got placed on IR even though he said he was fine. The Fan Base and the Media got Millen oust and collected 10 million buyout on his contract. WC Ford and Millen were still friends afterwards.

The fan base is being played, IMHO.

I've felt the urge to be Pro-Staff all day. Not gonna quit fighting it just yet.


Is it even possible to trade him? I have no idea how much of that contract counts against our cap. And I'm afraid we don't have any posters these days with the authority to clarify my question.

If he went to the Texans, he could hold franchise records for two franchises. I bet that's rare.
