The punishing the conference does make some sense.

The NCAA is extremely limited in it's monitoring. If the conferences do more policing of their own, this type of thing would happen a lot less often.

No offense, but I have great reservations about this website. No word from the four-letter or other media sources either make me very suspect.

It was a re-post for me, I do not confirm it's validity. But as I said, besides the TV, not far from what I expected.

Nothing from any of my sources. And I did a google search and came up with nothing.

It seems way to logical and appropriate to be accurate, ha!

It's not surprising that it's not out yet. ESPN, Yahoo, etc. all have to verify it before running with it. Though if there's nothing out by 12 to 1, it's fake.

Id be shocked if all this were true. The TV ban part is the big one that makes me skeptical but who knows? I find it strange ( if this is true) that the NCAA would find no lack of institutional control and then come down this way on OSU. Seems like they would be telling themselves they were wrong.

It seems this is not for real, my bad. As I said, it was a re-post and appears false.

Yeah, no worries. Not a knock on you at all, I just had my doubts about that website. And considering recent history, I couldn't imagine the NCAA coming down that hard on OSU.

Going to with hold comments until it's verified by other sources.

BSU went before the NCAA BEFORE Ohio State did and we haven't heard back yet.

If every player in the NCAA admitted to someone buying them drinks or picking up a food tab.........There would be no college football to watch.

So what, Ohio St players traded some of thier goods for tats. Who cares!
Miami players got some free food and drink. $100 or $200 in South Beach wont get you much.

But yet sCam Newton recieved at least $180,000.....and thats alright?

The NCAA does not want to crack down on rule breakers. They just want to make scenes to appear that they are really concerned about the rules. If they 100% cracked down, there would be no football and the Corrupt NCAA would be out billions.

Screw the NCAA

That site is a bogus site........No sanctions have been announced...
I will say this...
Ohio St will not lose any scholarships or TV time..That is reserved for teams that have lost institutional control, and the NCAA says that is definately NOT the case. We lost our coach, an entire season, our QB and 4 other players for 5 games.. That isa lot for a few tatoo trades...

Nothing talked about here in Columbus about sanctions
