So far Nebraska has 7 OVs set for this weekend:

Terrell Clinkscales: 4-Star JUCO DT The top rated JUCO DT (just got offered by OSU and Bama is sniffing around too) will be up to see Nebraska this weekend. He has called Nebraska his dream school and he loves Ndamukong Suh. Clinkscales also said last week on a Lincoln radio program that Nebraska is his favorite right now and if he were to make a decision today it would be for Nebraska. That being said don't expect him to commit this weekend. He will still likely visit OSU and one other school before committing in January. But, right now, Nebraska is in the drivers seat and should push hard this weekend.

Peyton Newell: 4-Star DT (Nebraska) Newell has unofficially visited for quite a few games but will be up officially for this one. That's a big deal because should he and Clinkscales hit it off that could be enough to sway Terrell to pull the trigger.

Tanner Farmer: 4-Star OG (Nebraska) Farmer has been to his fair share of games as well but will be visiting this weekend.

Freedom Akinmoladun: 3-Star TE (Nebraska) Freedom has visited several times before, this will be his OV though.

Darius Slade: 3-Star DE Slade has burst onto the recruiting scene with a strong senior year and looks like a Michigan State lean right now. However, Slade will still be visiting this weekend. He is supposed to decide soon so this visit is huge for the Husker staff to give him second thoughts about MSU.

Byerson Cockrell: 2-Star JUCO DB Cockrell is a new name to me, he has a Nebraska offer. Rivals has him as a 2-star DB. I like his size 6'2" 185 lbs... definitely has the size we look for in our CBs. He's a 2 for 3 kid. He has offers from Southern Miss, Middle Tennessee State, and Northern Colorado from what I can tell. Being recruited as a CB. His current DB coach has a good relationship with Terry Joseph. I think he commits to Nebraska shortly after the visit.

Larenzo Stewart: 3-Star RB (Nebraska) Stewart has been committed to Nebraska for a while now but this will be his first visit to Lincoln.

All Ive read about the Juco DB Cockrell is he's a 3/2 guy, and runs legit sub 4.5, at his size that's moving. Our secondary is going to drop off the map next year without Ciante and SJB, plus whatever is going on with CJ, we really really need some JC help in that area

Absolutely. I did some research on him, he made 21 tackles this season and had 3 INTs (returned one for a TD). He played both Safety and CB (which could be a reason why some schools haven't offered). But he's definitely in the 4.4-4.48 range as far as speed goes and he tackles well. Don't know too much about his coverage skills but 3 INTs speak well to his ability to make plays. Hard to really get a gauge on him, I guess we'll see what happens. He has an offer, I would bet he commits on the visit.

FYI - He's also an early enrollee... will be here in the spring if he commits.

Depends... Nebraska is very selective with their offers... but I think he ultimately gets one.

Clinkscales gave his visit a HUGE 10 and says he should have a decision "soon." And Cockrell is basically committed but wants to talk to family and play in the JUCO national title game before he decides. Haven't heard much on Slade.

Kind of a big deal pulling a JC kid out of the South, ratings aside I trust TJ knows what he's looking for, I hope he won't need that RS, well have immediate openings

Like train said, Clinkscales is a 2 for 2 guy but from all the things i've heard he will immediately be the most talented DT on the roster next season. Most likely starts day 1 if he comes here. Kid is legit. Cockrell is a talented corner that I think is overlooked due to the massive ammounts of talent on his team already. They are playing in the JUCO national championship soon. All around the only way the trip goes better is if Nebraska wins. I think we'll get Cockrell and Clinkscales but still have my doubts with Slade.

hey Nut have you heard anything about Wieseler out of Hartington CC

yeah... good player... a bit undersized for his position. Might end up as a walk-on, won't get an offer IMO, but he plays with good leverage so he could walk-on and maybe help on the OL. HERE's his Hudl film...

thank you sir, my kid said he had talked with some Husker coaching staff and was interested. I watched him play a few times this year and he is wound for sound on the field but as you mentioned is a bit undersized.
