calgary trades their pick for 21 and 42 picks of this year with buffalo. doesnt seem like a terrible idea for Calgary. gets a 2nd round pick and a 1st round pick where there is NOT a ton of difference from their old draft choice to 21. its all crap shoot

Yesterday prepared me for the possibility that he could be traded, but I was shocked to see it actually happening. I'm gonna miss him. He is really just an all around solid center. Not going to be easy to replace. I hope Sutter can pick up that position. By most everyone on here, it sounds like he's underrated.

Just thought about the entire Pens team being at Staals wedding right now. OH man. Kyper said he was texted that it's really emotional. I sort of feel for the bride. All her hubby's friends are probably crying and hugging him.
