Again, when did you see Stone Cold smiling during promos in reaction to the fans, or giving high-fives to fans like Becky is?

Stone Cold's character was that of a person who didn't give a shit whether anyone liked him or not. That's not Becky's current character, otherwise she wouldn't be giving high-fives or smiling to chants.


If you can't give examples of the above, then you can't say Becky's current character (of the past ~4 months) is essentially the same as Austin's. Austin didn't pander to the crowd.

He was incredibly underrated and underutilized imo. Meltzer once called him the most underrrated talent in WWE, and Edge said that he's the type of talent that could go 1-on-1 vs Undertaker at a Wrestlemania.

A few years back when he had a brief singles run, he was putting on quality matches (vs Orton, Ziggler, etc)....but he kept being put back into the tag team scene so never was able to fully reach his potential.

I think Harper only missed significant time due to injury once, and that was this past fall after the Bludgen Bros dropped the titles (where Rowan got hurt).


In his only singles run, Harper didn't get hurt and they just randomly him back in the Wyatt Family to try to make Bray Wyatt relevant again. He was having a quality run as a singles performer and they just put him back in the group to be second fiddle to Bray for another 2 years.

He was typecast as a tag team guy, which ultimately hurts a guy of his talent.

He actually missed quite a bit of time 3 separate times that I recall. In 2016 he dislocated his patella and tore his MPFL ligament that caused him to be out for almost half a year, we know of his torn bicep he currently just came back from, and also before the bicep injury he also had wrist surgery that kept him out for a good chunk.

Could he have been used better, sure but you can say that of anyone. However would I say he was overlooked and underutilized? Absolutely not. He only started with WWE when he was 33 and while he did have an indy career usually people that old don't get huge pushes unless they had an amazing indy career and are a big name which Harper was not. He's also 39 now and WWE doesn't really like to invest in people of that age given they wont be around too much longer.

I understand why Harper would be interested in leaving because if he still has more he wants to do in the remaining time left in his career more power to him.

Becky is one of the larger women on the roster. She's also pretty damn cut. The Mania pop was loud, maybe not the loudest, but loud. But it was also after midnight and people had already started leaving to make sure they could get to public transit so they wouldn't be stranded. Becky Lynch is currently moving the most merch over the last few months over any superstar and her segments are leaders in the ratings breakdowns. Becky Lynch is OVER. Deal with it.

With Harper I get both the pros and cons of WWE pushing him this late in his career but he still has a ton of value outside of the company.

He's the most skilled wrestler at that size with the possible exception of McIntyre. So while I get the age and injury knocks against him on a roster as loaded as WWEs he can be a top player somewhere else.

I dunno. Miz has the backstory to make for a really good babyface run. Dreaming of being a wrestler, shit on when he gets his start, had to endure hazing and earn everything, had doubters the entire way, grinded his way to the top and has become a respected guy. Plus, his family is damn adorable. You can make it pretty easy to root for a guy like that.
