I think WWE is trying too hard with Reigns.

Back when Vince used to feud with Stone Cold, the story seemed to flow more naturally. Austin did as much to irritate the hell out of Vince as Vince did to screw Austin over.

By contrast, it seems that the Authority is overkilling the screwing over of Reigns in a desperate attempt to make him the #1 babyface. It feels forced, fake and disingenuous and does for more getting the McMahon's heel heat than it does getting Reigns the babyface fan push.

And not only that, but when the Authority screwed Austin, they actually screwed him, as in he lost matches or the title or the #1 contender spot. It was a real screw over.

Front the get-go with Reigns the Authority "screws" Reigns over, but Reigns immediately overcomes the odds and wins matches, retains his title....People will point out the Sheamus cashing in MITB, but really? That was one little moment, and it wasn't anything to really get your fired up to support Reigns.

The Authority throws everything at Reigns and he just keeps overcoming it.

With Austin, Austin would lose and everyone got behind him because he had to really fight to overcome the odds.

That's a good point as well. Austin lost the belt, got fired, really got screwed over.

Reigns gets the "Super Cena" push every time they try to screw him over.

Yeah. And his antics are very heelish. I mean when he is beating up on a defenseless 70 year old Vince McMahon, you almost feel sorry for McMahon than you are rooting for Reigns.

Sorry for McMahon. Nope, I don't feel sorry for 70ish billionaires who insists on running WWE creative like it's still the late 90's or mid-80's, you pick which one. And defenseless??? A guy who while 70 still looks jacked to high heaven on HGH and could just fire a wrestler anytime he felt like it if he really wanted to???????

I feel sorry for all the wrestling fans who are offered this retreaded dreck, again and again and again as entertainment WWE style.

That opening a few weeks where McMahon got arrested was one of the worst opening segments in the history of the show. Roman just stands there doing nothing while Steph and Vince drastically over sell it. It was just bad. The idea of having Vince arrested because of Reigns is fine but the way they did it was so unbelievable and badly acted I cringed.

The lines for the fake cop were the worst. I'm just here as security but you step back or else you're going to jail.

Yeah that whole heel McMahon screwing over the babyface has been done to fucking death and is played out to the point of nausea. 1998 wants their storyline back.

That's my issue with the creative is that they just seem retarded in rehashing crap that can't work in this PG era crap. The Austin McMahon feud would've flopped bad in this era too. The McMahon/Authority angle just seems stupid to try I'm this PG era unless it's a dude like Punk or how they handled Bryan. This whole league of nations is stupid as well.

And this whole Ric Flair being involved with the divas is dumb as well. Let Charlotte make it on her own or could've at least did a story line where Ric went all old school and him diddle around with one of the divas to push Charlotte.

Report: UCLA Doctor Clears Daniel Bryan to Return to the Ring

There is a little issue:

According to The Wrestling Observer, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan has been cleared to return to the ring by a UCLA neurology specialist.
The report notes Bryan recently underwent a battery of tests by a UCLA doctor to determine if he was fit to return to in-ring wrestling, and the doctor informed him he could.
As noted, Bryan has been publicly insisting for awhile now that he is ready to return to the ring, but he has yet to receive medical clearance from WWE. Keep in mind, for Bryan to return to the ring he must receive clearance by WWE, which as of this writing has yet to happen.

My understanding is DBag has found many doctors that are clearing him for wrestling, problem is, a UCLA doctor is not a WWE doctor and the WWE doctors are the ones that are not clearing him to wrestle in their ring.

I know someone posted it somewhere a couple months ago...But the CM Punk/Colt Cabana podcast about Punks final years in WWE.

I finally listened to the entire thing last night, and what a great interview. I want to believe Punk's story and think all of that was true, but of course there are two sides to every story, and I am sure he has a jaded slant toward the WWE and either fabricated some of the interview or definitely puts his point of view on some things.

Would be neat to hear WWE's side of things regarding Punk's exit.

Regardless, if half that stuff is true regarding Punks health then something probably needs to happen with WWE's policy, and MAYBE it has since they seem to refuse to clear Bryan.

Honestly wonder at what point it becomes a legal issue with Bryan has all these doctors clearing but the 1 WWE doctor keeps turn him down. I guess it would take Bryan getting fed up enough to force the issue, but makes you wonder if the WWE simply doesn't want him back, but knows they can't just fire him.

Then again I find it hard to believe giving the situation they're in they wouldn't want their biggest start next to Cena back full time. They're likely just being overly cautious after feeling he came back to early last time and knowing he needs a big push when he does come back.

Look, I know it does not mean much here, but personal experience, my dad fell down some stairs three years ago. There was a compression fracture of a vertebrae in his spine. Think of a vertebrae as a ring around the spinal cord. They break two ways, vertically and horizontally. Since my dad already had fused vertebrae in his neck from arthritis, the entire row of vertebrae did not move, the compression fractured one of the middle ones half way horizontally. Any, I mean any dislodging like you would think of a fault line would have sheared his spinal cord and he would have been paralyzed with no lower body function.

That is the angle I see with Bryan Danielson. Remember Owen Hart falling from the zip line? Hawk falling off the staging on the stage shattering his back? That is exactly where WWE is, let Bryan back in the ring to wrestle, have him paralyzed, suffer the consequences for allowing him back in. I dont think they even want him written into the shows because they know he will want to get physical, the fans want him to get physical, their best case is see if he fades away. Actually, I am surprised that they still let Brie wear the flannel.

Did you see Sunny having her oversized self on vivid.com? She will probably be removed from the hall of fame. Those are the after the fact decisions they can make. How do they come back if Bryan is paralyzed.

Every report says it's a concussion issue and not related to his neck. Again, if reports are to be believed he's been cleared for action by renowned, independent specialists. It's wrestling so there's always a chance it's all a work or misinformation, but if the issue is that WWE won't clear him but he still wants to wrestle elsewhere than they should just let him out of his contract

On a totally different subject, several years ago I would have hated The New Day. They are a joke act. A farce. Comedy central.

But this isn't Georgia Championship Wrestling. This is WWE. Which is a joke act n and of itself.

Because of the nature of the show, The New Day is the best thing they have on Raw.

I can understand the WWE's on DB since he seems to make it clear he wants to wrestle. He will get a huge pop but then what? SCSA wasn't a high risk taker. DB's style already makes it dangerous to an injury and having a guy paralyzed on television or a PPV would hurt the WWE more than it's crappy product already has.
