Very disappointing Olympics for the US thus far. Hockey is the only thing we have left to salvage.

It really has been. According to all the pre-Olympic picks that were made, the USA has failed to win 8 of the 32 they were supposed to win. You are still strong in long track and the womens halfpipe along with ski halfpipes on both sides

Good news for Alex Gough though is she is still in the team relay. Given how our other sliders did in the singles we have a great chance to podium

Anton Gafarov (Russia) moment in cross country was pretty touching. Had a crash on a downhill section and partly broke his ski. Laid down crying for a moment (knowing his Olympics were over) and then got up. Got back up and kept going even though he had no chance of advancing and his equipment was broken. Ski completely fell apart as he went down the last hill. Coach runs out and gives him a new ski. He skies it all the way home and claps to the crowd several times down the final stretch.

Wasn't his coach. It was Canadian coach Justin Wadsworth.

There are. But watching them get zilch in halfpipe was pretty shocking. They've dominated that spot for awhile.

Just because you invent a sport doesn't mean you always win it.

Seriously, though... Kinda disappointed in Shaun White. I am not sure he had the best year leading up and may have gotten his spot on the team because he's Shaun White. Then he gets there and bails on one event when his spot on the roster could have gone to someone else. Then he goes and collapses in his best event final.
