BK: Napier looking really bad in his 1st game. Smart not looking good for Boston either.

I could careless about Summer League.....I don't even watch that garbage.

Here's all you need to know about Summer League. The ROY this past season had 10 turnovers in his first summer league game.

I care way more about how rookies look in preseason than summer league

You are very well entitled to your opinion,
but I disagree for the most part.
Not sure how much Heat you watch, but Bosh has been handcuffed.
He is much closer to a max player then a 12M one.
He can do tons, if given a chance, which will happen next year.

Wades death is very premature.
Losing seems to motivate these guys.
He was very efficient for most of last season.
I know his mindset. I predict a different Wade next year but a very good one.
Like Trojan stated, as of today, as is, Heat probably beat everyone but Spurs.
Then, who knows how motivated or healthy they will be next year?

Bosh has been handcuffed??? He has only been handcuffed because his only contribution to a team is hitting a wide open 15 foot jumper. He can't play D and he can't rebound. He is handcuffed because he is limited in his abilities as a big man. Bosh is a tweener who plays like a SF but is too slow to be a SF so you play him at PF but he is to weak to play PF so he provides no defense and rebounding. Bosh is overrated, plain and simple. He should have never got a near max contract, he never deserved it.

Wade will continue to fade, his game doesn't complement LBJ's anyway so why bother keeping the guy.

Bosh is another shareef abdur-rahim, puts up nice numbers be doesn't really add much to your team. Bosh doesn't give you what you truly need from a C/PF, defense and rebounding. The guy can't make any team a contender when he is the #1 option.

There are maybe 3 players in the league who can, so that statement is a little unfair. Bosh is a very good player.

Exactly my point. Bosh was never part of the "big 3". He has always been a slightly above average player that is being paid like a superstar.

Bosh is far from average. Is he overpaid? YES but who isn't in this NBA. There's probably only 5 players or so who actually deserve the max

Wade is washed up because he had a bad series? And Bosh is still in his prime. I'm convinced you guys doesn't understand the difference in being a #1 option and having everything ran through you and being a #3 option and having nothing ran through you.

Bosh would easily avg 22+ PPG on any team as the #1 or #2 option

There are a lot of players that can be number #1's on shitty teams. He is an All-Star, that's it. Nothing special, a guy that once in a while will give you a big game.

I consider David West a pretty good player, once in a while will be an All-Star. Chris Bosh put up the same numbers, they are equals.

Ok, you answered my question.
You don't watch the Heat, and if you do, you don't understand what has been asked of him.
Never has plays run for him.
Goes huge stretches of minutes without touching the ball.

Bosh is not good enough to be a #1 option on a championship team,
but is good enough to be a #2 option on a championship team...
And moving forward , that should be his role.

Miami has not shot at Gasol.

I disagree. Pau has said that he would be willing to take less for a chance to win another title. What he hasn't said is how much less.

Pau is in a pretty powerful position. He has already had his max payday. While he's in no longer worth a max deal, he is worth more than the MLE. He already has won 2 rings, so he's not just some older player trying to get a ring before he retires.

He loves L.A. and being a Laker (despite him constantly being in every trade rumor since the Lakers last title). Imo, he wants to see what the Lakers are going to do. If the Lakers can land 'Melo or Lebron, I think he stays because he'll have a chance to win and the Lakers can pay him more via Bird rights.

If the Lakers don't get 'Melo or Lebron, then I think there will be the possibility of a sign and trade and he may look at the MLE as a last option.

Bottom line, I don't think Pau is in any particular hurry and he doesn't need to be.

 Bosh is the main piece on the Heat's offense which allows Lebron to get to the paint more frequently. I remember a game where the Heat played at the Lakers where Miami was missing Bosh; the offense was playing like they were stuck in the mud as Wade and Lebron were forced to take shots out on the perimeter.

Bosh doesn't put up the same statistics as he was the 3rd option on this team. Bosh is also a decent (not great) defender.

Also, how many guys make a team a true contender when they're the number one option? The only players I can think of are Durant, Lebron and Melo (and I say the latter loosely). I don't include Duncan as the Spurs are a system team, on any given night anyone can have a great night.

Sportsman slowly but surely is becoming an even bigger troll than sman; whether that was his intentions or not.

That's a fairly accurate statement.

Like I said, Bosh provides a decent outside shot but nothing else. Do you think that outside shot is worth a max deal??? LOL, I hope you don't think so. Wouldn't a guy like Ibaka work out a lot better for the heat??? Blocking shots and rebounding while providing a nice 15 footer??? How about a Pau Gasol???

Again, you prove my point, Bosh doesn't make a team much better so why are you justifying him getting a max contract???

I'm sorry I can't humor you and pretend that the Heat aren't sinking in the ocean, if you equate that to being a troll then so be it. However, you can only bury your head in the sand for so long, Mr. Heatles.

I wouldn't go as far as calling Sportsman a troll (yet), but I do hope that Mecca knows we don't hold Sportsman's posts against her.

We're gotten to the point in free agency where some teams in pursuit think LeBron is more likely to leave than Melo. Stunning turn of events

Wow.
