I agree. I am not a Penguins hater. I want talent to play. In fact I treat Caps fans that say "Crosby sucks" with any seriousness with the same amount of apathy that I treat Pens fans that say "Ovechkin sucks." Anyone who makes either of those comments knows zero about the sport.

when Lester Karlin was on TTL he said that he had been asked more about Maroon bottoms than any other piece of equipment, so i'd guess if he has any say they will be on the order list for next season. I bet Nike will have us something nice picked out for the FED-EX game or Labor Day.

i hope something nice means all all maroon. Using the uniform builder on Cruhland.com I like the 1993 maroon jersey and helmet with the 2008 or 2004 maroon pants. I am fine with Nike doing crazy new things as long as they use maroon instead of white, orange, or black.

To repeat what Hunzworth said, Karlin and Frank are both interested in getting maroon pants for the 2012 season.

I've got to say, we have the best uniforms we have in a long long time right now, and I hope they stay this way for as long as possible and it seems like they will. The jersey's are not too busy, and very classy. I love the "T inside of the V" retro helmets and the players rave about the orange helmets. Adding maroon pants is all we need. (Disclamer: I feel weak in the wrist for talking this much about our uniforms)
