Championship games are ALL about two things: fanbases and locations! It's terribly difficult to plan a trip in less than a week. Conferences need to make things as simple as possible for each fanbase to attend. Some fans are easier than others. Travel (car and especially plane), hotels, resturants and other attractions have to be set up in a central city to make these games work. Atlanta for the SEC is the prime example. The ACC lacks the number of large fanbases in other major conferences, but I think Charlotte is going to fill each of these criteria. It will be very, very good to the future of the ACC-CG.

Pitt and Cuse to each. I was worried Old Big East was going to be a North division

I would think it would have to be Pitt. I just don't see them putting the northernmost school (Cuse) with the southernmost which is Miami. Plus, Cuse could be a good local rival for BC.

I'd prefer Pitt too, just for the fact that we'd only have to go to the Carrier dome once every five years as opposed to every other year.
