Some of the very worst hits need ejections. IMO, this SHOULD (not that it will always be implemented correctly) only be brought out for a very very small number of hits (I think less than the 99 hits the article mentions). I hesitate to point out specific instances (those always seem to turn into a rant about the game itself or whether or not the player's one action defines them), but I think we've all seen hits that cross the line from solid or questionable to reckless or even malicious.

The low bocking rules seem to sound the same as they have always been (or atleast how they were in intent). If the block is low, it must be from the front. If a guy falls on his butt or back side of his hip from a low block, it was either illegal or very awkward (which does happen abit). Kind of like the punt return hits where a blocker plows through the defender, who falls on his face. It's hard to fall on your face if you got blocked at high speed in the chest.

The low blocking rule right now allows linemen to cut from the side. It does not allow a WR cracking back to hit from the side though. The new rule would eliminate linemen from being able to do the reaching cut. I feel like that could really hurt GT, Navy, AFA.

"The Dean's List student graduated from Virginia Tech in 1999 and was selected to the Big East All-Academic Team." ... I'm guessing he could spell "school". ;)

Has Seattle already moved in the fences at Safeco? Either way, I think their offense will definitely improve with the acquisitions of Michael Morse, Raul Ibanez and Kendrys Morales.

yes, it appears the fences are in. I had not heard that. I like the Morales acquisition. Not so sure about the other two.

Online classes are amazing. I took as many as possible while at VT. Allows for much more flexibility in scheduling courses around training, and also allows you to set your course work schedule up with a more long-term approach in mind, which helps you be able to commit more to athletics, as well as your academics.

I'd agree with the idea that they help with scheduling and allowing you to work when you want to. But I mean what is the purpose of college if you take all online classes? If you are just going to teach yourself everything, you can just buy textbooks and read them. And call me a cynic, but online classes are generally joke classes.

I understand that I don't know how things work there (SEC schools), but it just seems to me that almost all of those schools do the best they can to offer the easiest "education" possible.

Online Learning has become much better with the advent of things like adobe connect and sharepoint, but at the base level and in fundamental courses, I think face time is key.

I have a PhD and a steady job so if I need CME stuff or need to learn new stats applications or study designs, I have the basic knowledge of the subject matter and the schedule to justify an online course. I am not sure if I want fundamentals of zoology taught Ron sharepoint though. As someone who has taught grad/med/law students before and was forced to have an online option, the online students constantly asked questions covered in class (even though the recorded lectures were available, they just didn't listen) and did significantly worse than the in class students, and this was a graduate level class.

He cant use the excuse of too much attention i feel like. Tim Tebow went to class. Tyrod went to class. Every football player has gone to class. Just the school and staff making it easy for him

I agree with Matt .. I took as many online classes as I could ... But my sitch was a little different .. Was working full time supporting a farm while going to school ... Wasnt in school for the social aspect .. And bullshit classes that had nothing to do with the major, I took online when I could .. Certain classes though (major curriculum and advanced math classes) are tough online

I think it depends on the structure of the online classes. There are some that require you to log in and participate so really its no different than being in an actual class. Then there's the ones that basically just post shit online (lectures, slides, etc) and its up to you to get review the material and take a quiz/test by a certain date which you're on the "honor system" not to sit there with all your notes while you do the quiz/test. The former are helpful, the latter tend be garbage but are good GPA boosters because they tend to be easy as fuck. Needless to say, I took my share of the latters when I could

I could not agree with this any more. If we had rep, I would rep you like 9 times. This is why I like Adobe Connect because you have to log in and you have the mic and can basically interact like you would in any course.

It's the ones where students are supposed to listen to recorded lectures but obviously don't and it may be a gray area type course where nuance and critical thinking can only come out in the lectures and discussions that I think does students a disservice if taught online.
