I just witnessed the most unimpressive 17 point win ever.....Bearcats 61, Friars 44.....I swear if the Bearcats stood on a beach at high tide they couldn't get one into the ocean...

Good defensive effort. The kids try. They just can't shoot.

One and done in the tourney.

There's not much talent, and they do play hard, and they do play tough defense. But their offensive possessions consist of passing around the perimeter for 30 seconds then whoever has the ball at that point goes into panic mode and launches an off balance three (or worse yet an off balance jumper just inside the arc). They never even try to get the ball inside. I know Mbodj and Jackson are complete non offensive threats, but someone can at least try to drive to the basket. They were doing that earlier in the year and having much more success.

We've got Wildcat fans, Bearcat fans, and Tarheel fans. All sure to be disappointed in a few weeks

They simply don't have the players to do it. They don't have a single big man that has a post game and the wing players are fairly weak with dribble penetration. I actually saw some potential out of Shaq Thomas in this realm today, so maybe there is some hope for the future?

Do you remember Mick talking about Thomas last year, during his reshirt season, saying he was unguardable in practice, as if he was going to be a major offensive threat this season? I do. So where has that guy been? Maybe he'll show something next year. If not, the only scoring threat we'll have is Kirkpatrick.

I think we beat Georgetown today. They're really not that much better of a team.

Georgetown can score. We'll have to have an unusually good offensive game to have a chance.

Not really. We lost to them 62-55 last time we played. We missed 13 free throws in that game. That's what decided it.

We'll either get blown out today or it will be close like last time.

Well, they're getting rolled today. Once again the basket is a foreign object.

Considering it was 24-8 at one time, a five point deficit at the half is nothing short of a miracle.
