You let Howard go now precisely because Howard is cheap and only has 1 year left, he's more valuable as a trade chip. You think any GM out there would give us anything for Howard if Howard was expensive? Skrine is a good replacement for Callahan. Nagy referred to him as possibly the best nickel in football during the week leading up to our matchup with NYJ last season. Clearly, they think he can fill that void without a hiccup.

That’s the point I’m trying to make. If we can get a third rounder for him, I say we do it. Do you think we would get a 3rd round comp pick for him when he inevitably walks? I think it’s probably be more a 4th or 5th. We might be getting Davis to guarantee the comp pick next year too.

I just don't think RB's have much of a market. Especially RB's like Howard who don't do much in the passing game. I think he's very valuable to us, but on the market? I just do not believe teams are willing to give anything substantial like a 3rd.

If we could? It's a toss-up. 2nd I would pull the trigger on... but that's not happening. I still think he's a very, very good runner.

He’s good. I think he benefitted a lot from the players around him and the bears dline. He’s good against the run and is good in coverage. His play with the packers will tell a lot about the quality of player he is. PFF ratings always Show he’s one of the best in the business, but he isn’t much of a ball hawk.
