I think Mohamed and Jackson (can't they settle on the spelling of Devonte? - we got three on the roster all spelled differently) are putting pressure on Booker in the 3rd spot.

I think McKnight has an edge over Benson because he can get short yardage separation out of the slot position - from reading TC tea leaves.

See I think Benson has the edge because the offensive weapons, especially at WR, are in dire need of speed and explosive ability. Hamilton can take the slot short routes since he has little down field speed element to his game. McKnight and his 4.62s 40 don't bring the missing element of the offense like Benson and his 4.4s speed.

Theo Riddick to sign with Denver later this week barring any unexpected change.
Report: Broncos expected to sign running back Theo Riddick later this week

Barring the unexpected, it appears coveted free agent RB Theo Riddick will sign with the Broncos later this week, per source. Saints were also in on Riddick and several other teams called on former Lion. Appears Elway about to give Joe Flacco a new weapon. #9sports

So far I have learned that Theo Riddick screams 'Woo' every time he makes a catch. Also sometimes when he breaks a tackle.

Not sure what Riddick brings that we don't already have.

He only had 40 rushing attempts last year and while he did average 4.3 YPC even our 3rd string RB Devonte Booker had 12 more yards on 6 less attempts putting him at 5.4. And if you think we'd bring in Riddick to improve in the passing game you'd be wrong there too because Booker was statistically better than him in that category as well. 109 less yards but with 23 less catches, almost a full YPC better.

Riddick has been pretty below average at running the football and around average at catching the football. But why take snaps away from people we already have who are arguably better than him is what I don't get.

Every touch that 28 year old Riddick gets is a snap taken away from 2nd year players Royce Freeman and David Williams. Or a potential flash of potential from speedster Khalfani Muhammad.

Theo went to Philly. Which is appropriate, for a Huckstable.

Billy wynn hurt again. Partially torn triceps. Doubt he was gonna make it here but sad to see a guy come off an injury two years ago get back at it then go down again. Guessing he goes to IR then is released with an injury settlement later in year.

I wonder if Riddick won't be a high breed RB/WR. He catches the ball well he could maybe help fill a void early ins the season as Sanders may not be full go.

Riddick often plays out of the slot -which I have not seen from Booker. Therefore, Riddick has the versatility the Broncos seem to be looking for going into the season.

I'm not sure I would have signed Riddick - it sends a strange message to the guys already on the team.

If Riddick is being brought in to help fill the void at WR considering all the drops we have heard about for going on 3 weeks it does make some sense. IF we keep 1 extra WR and 1 less WR because of it then it is going to be interesting what WR misses out.

Only time will tell. I like Booker better then Riddick as a complete RB, but Riddick does bring a skill set that I don't know that we currently have.

Yikes. What if Sanders was bitching at Sutton, saying that because Sutton has drop issues they brought in Riddick and now Sutton cost a bubble WR his place on the team?

I heard a conspiracy theory on the radio tonight about Riddick. What if he was brought in NOT to replace Booker but because Phillip Lindsay has been dealing with some issues after the chiropractor incident. Freeman has been starting all the first team drills and Lindsay hasn't played much at practice. Could be an insurance policy for that.

Riddick is actually Vin Diesel - and the Broncos are the back drop for his next Chronicles of Riddick film.
