Williams will be on the PS at best, IMO. Booker is definitely better but a different type of back. Booker is our best blocking RB and plays special teams. Williams doesn’t really fill two or three roles like Booker does. He can catch, play special teams and block. Pay attention. Booker comes in on 3rd and longs. Why?? Because he can pick up a blitz and catch. If you don’t think Booker fills a role or think Lindsay has taken his role as the third down back you don’t pay close attention. Yes, they can both catch but they are both used in different third down packages.

I agree - Williams is a back up to the function Royce Freeman presents in goal line and short.

Really like Jamarius Way. He was very productive in college. He and McKnight were two of my favorite smaller school WR's in this years draft.

Never hear of him, but he has impressive vids. Brandon Marshall the WR comes to mind.

FANT MAKING STRIDES

Fangio said Fant caught his eye “a few times” during Sunday’s practice as the first-round pick hauled in several passes and added long runs after the catch.

Scangarello has also seen the rookie make strides, especially since the team donned pads for the first time on Saturday.

“It’s the NFL,” Scangarello said. “The game’s faster. We’re asking him to do a lot because we know what he’s capable of. It’s not just him learning the offense, it’s also him learning the nuances of the things we know he’ll excel at. And so that adds to the learning. The fortunate part is we have a few extra practices … to get him going a little bit. He’s a quick learner. He’s got a skill set, and he can do just about anything. I’ll say this, I think one of the things that was most undervalued [about] him coming [out] of the draft that we felt very strongly about is I think he’s an excellent run blocker in this zone system. I’m excited about that. The pads went on, and he’s really shown very, very well.”

Our FA QB will be our #2 QB I believe that he will show just enough that if we cut him he will not make the practice squad.

Thanks @58crash

If the top players on this roster turn out to be Eliza Wilkerson, Philip Lindsay, Brett Rypien and Trinity Benson - I suggest the Broncos take their draft data and turn it right side up. You never know if talking up the scrubs - is a god send, or just an indication that the players ahead of them aren't going to cut it.

@SpringStein - how's that for taking it a notch down in my optimism?

I suppose there is no way we could finagle Mike Daniels into a contract. Doesn't look like we have a whole lot of cap room and he could be looking to get a pretty hefty contract.

Daniels will probably go to a division rival like the Vikings or Bears. Seems to be what Packers do.

I know New England, Kansas City and Cleveland all had trade discussions with GB about Daniels.
