$9 Million Former Broncos Veteran Breaks Silence After Shooting Incident
Former Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds spoke to reporters for the first time since being shot twice.

Broncos now have players in the 2nd and 3rd best odds to win DPOY. Crazy to think what this defense has been compared to anything anyone thought possible.
and people can finally start to show Vance Joseph some much earned/deserved respect.
I think VJ's story is wonderful. From failure/not a fair chance as HC in Denver but still a failure nonetheless (based on record), to coming back years later as a D cord on the team he failed with, everyone chopping his head off the first 5 weeks of last year, to turning this D around with really at the time only one star player. I would claim we now have 2 star players and a lot of SOLID players on defense. VJ makes great adjustments.
He had built from the ground on up, very quickly at that... At one time it appeared he wouldn't last a half of a season in his return to Denver. Micah Parsons made a comment the other day about how much fun it would be to play on the Broncos defense.
VJ would make a good ESPN segment.![]()
Kind of cool to see the Broncos getting themselves into a lot of primetime spots now. I know the 3:30 time slot isn't anything special but getting games flexed because the NFL knows it will draw attention is nice. Plus means with me living in Kansas I don't have to worry about missing the game because they decide the stupid Chiefs are more important to show over the Broncos. Our game vs the Bengals has been announced as a Sat game... 3:30 CT.
Could you imagine a DL of Bonitto, JFM, Allen, and Parsons with a secondary containing Surtain, Moss, and the rest? Good luck to anyone playing against that unit. Throw in we would have some depth with Cooper and Ellis for the DL and KAD for the CB room. Honestly that barring injuries could quickly become a defense for the ages. Obviously not going to happen, but still fun to think about.
As for VJ you are right it is a great story and I have loved his second half adjustments in most games this year. My only complaint is 1st quarter struggles. Seems like he takes a second to see what the other team is doing and plays a lot more conservative early in games leading to some early deficits. But if that is my only complaint then the guy is doing a great job. And like you said with not the greatest known talent ever. He has most every player playing beyond what they have shown in the NFL before.
That would be insane.
I liked Brandon Jones signing more then most Bronco fans. I think most were caught up in the Justin Simmons news and while Simmons hasn't played bad this year he clearly is declining and we won on this transaction. OF course, Simmons is a great leader but we got better on the field with this move.
I also think Kris Abrams-Draine and Damari Mathis deserve a lot of credit for their play last week.... When you consider Abrams-Draine hadn't seen a single NFL snap in a regular season game until late in the Browns game (and he played well then too) following week he is thrust into a starting position in basically his first real NFL action minus two possessions of the Browns game and he really played outstanding. Mathis same thing, Mathis had a good camp, got hurt, went on IR.. Fell down the depth chart a bit after missing time and played a large role last week and played it well.
I also like that Sean Payton didn't kick Levi Wallace's soul to the curb after the Browns game (Still could happen if we need roster room) rightfully so he moved Abrams-Draine, Mathis and Reese Taylor all ahead of him. I am not expecting us to see Wallace at least in a big role but prior to that game he was "ok" for us.. See if he lasts the rest of the year but it would have been easy to kick him to the curb when everyone wanted him to. I think he made the right decision by making him one of the 7 inactives but either way we won't re-sign him next year. He is probably in the wrong scheme anyway.
This was really fun to watch ...
It showed Bo saying hi to Manning . and then going and saying Manning's dad looked good .
I think the part I love most about this video is watching Surtain. He has been known as a more quiet lead by example type guy, but he was plenty loud on the field in this one. Good to see him settling in and really becoming that voice for the defense.
I liked him telling the players to watch for a trick play ... That was pretty cool
Interesting IdeaI think when all is said and done Surtain will go down as one of the smartest CB's to ever play the position. There have been guys more athletic than him (although he is not lacking in this department either), but you can see he just knows what opposing teams are trying to do and about half the time runs a better route than the receiver to the spot.
Honestly would be fun to see him get a few offensive snaps and just see how he handles playing WR. Maybe this is a little bit of the Travis Hunter mania coming into play but Champ Bailey did play some offense as well.
Interesting Idea
