Apparently the guy who tweeted it got it from a fake Bobby Mac twitter account.

Someone needs to take out these tools making these fake accounts. ugh.

It is nearly impossible to police Twitter.

There have been a few hundred reports. And thus far, each one is from a fake Twitter account.




That's what they get from using a source with the word "twit" in the title.

The issue wasn't the fake account (although it was the root), it was the Vancouver beat guy (Kuzma) tweeting that it was done. He didn't just RT, he gave no credit, making us (and all of twitter) think he had a source outside of that.
