Though, all biased aside, i'd take an established Stepan over Couturier/Schenn any day of the week.

Guess you missed where I said ''established'' which is what Vancouver prefers. Only knock on Stepan is his slow skating, can't complain anywhere else. Take it from a guy who watches 82 games of his a year. He is a 1st line Center.

There's no way Stepan is a number one center, he is on the Rangers because there's nobody better on your team, doesn't mean his talent warrants being a number one center

And how are Couts and Brayden Schenn not established either? They've been huge keys to the Flyers since coming over - they've both made big impacts already on that team

Seems to be working just fine for us, with him up top. Richards still showed he can play, Brassard, though streaky, is a very good Center. I think you're judging him harder because he is a Ranger and your dislike of us. Stepan is also a very good penalty killer.

I like Couts and Schenn, though Schenn is overrated, to me. Couturier will be the better player in the long run, he's already been trusted as a defensive forward against teams top players. I just don't see the offensive numbers from them.

I guarantee you the Rangers would swap Stepan for about at 15 different number one centers in the NHL(Claude Giroux, Sidney Crosby, John Tavares, Nicklas Backstrom, Jason Spezza, Steven Stamkos, Pavel Datsyuk, Ryan Johansen, Matt Duchene, Jonathan Toews, Eric Staal, Mikko Koivu, Anze Kopitar, Logan Couture, Joe Thornton, Ryan Kesler, Ryan Getzlaf) - that's about 17 guys who are either number one centers in the NHL or play as a number one center on their team, so Derek Stepan is probably in the bottom 1/3rd of centers as number ones in the NHL

lmao ... Stepan has what a handful more points this season than Schenn/Couturier

Schenn/Couturier are younger bigger and play a harder game ... take them 7 days a week over Stepan
