One day I turned on a game between South Carolina (ACC back then) and Maryland with this brash new coach who was going to build the UCLA of the east. MD had little talent at that point and had to play a slow down game, it worked ... they won on a shot by Jim O'Brien. I was hooked.
Who won the most championships. I do however agree that Jim Brown is one of the key figures all time in the NFL.Why is there a picture of Brady and not Jim Brown? Even if they limited this to QBs, the picture would have to be Bart Starr!

Lefty had already recruited Tom McMillen and Len Elmore who would be eligible to play on the JV team the next year. I had become such a big fan of Lefty and Maryland.

I understand that there are far too many who never saw spartan football played and are limited to their recollections and desire to have witnessed, true or not, the best in their time.Because he is widely considered the greatest ever and THE football icon.
