Congrats to Dusty Baker for winning his 1st World Series. Always a first class guy and outstanding manager. I am happy for him. Being from Philadelphia I was rooting for the Phillies but very happy for Dusty.

RIP Maury Wills, my first baseball card

It has been so long ago that I don't remember exactly when I started. When we lived in Philly so before age 7 and probably age 5 so 1961. At that age I studied the backs of baseball cards like I was cramming for a test. Imagine what cards I must have had at that time. A few years later I started reading the sports page of the paper like it was the way to heaven. LOL Funny thing is with all the things available to us now I don't know 75% of the players in any league.

I haven't even been able to watch college basketball lately. The Hoyas have been that bad. Ready for the days of Francis and Steve Blake vs good Georgetown teams.

Cooley will make GTown better and I think it would be great to have a rivalry between the two teams. I really like Willard so far.
