6 rotation
7 bull pen
is
13
12 position players...which is the minimum..i think that an mlb team should ever have i guess plus 1 taxi squad..makes it 13
is 25 and 26

2020 Rule[edit]

In 2020 a new 26th man rule was introduced, allowing teams to carry one additional (26th) player on their roster during the period from Opening
Day to September 1st,

with the explicit proviso that this be a position player.

This was combined with limits on the number of pitchers that can be so designated on the roster, all in order to limit the proliferation of relief pitchers on the playing roster, to the point that certain teams - especially in the American League - would play games with only two or three available substitutes, including the back-up catcher. This was considered negative as it severely limited in-game strategy, and was likely to lead to problems in cases of extra innings, injuries or player ejections, to the detriment of fans.

sounds like bullogna but ohh well

for mariners..

guess marmolejos will do if he can get his ave up...his hrs..project..to 6 per 100 at bats...300 at bats 18 hrs 400is.24..but it does not always work that way
but with share time at !b with white and Lf..prob with haggerty or bishop..he may get those hrs up in the20s..but he is still not a top of the line up guy unless he gets that ave..up to at least 270..and up

one thing ya just cant get around...is that covid..lost the miners a whole year of development.......that hurts every team and every guy in the miners
put them behind
it will take at least a year to put things back in order
but the mariners started before covid with there rebuild....and will be..where they need to be

they will..have to pay haniger..by that time to get him to stay..and gonzales as well

SEATTLE -- It took a while to work out the final details, but former Mets right-hander Chris Flexen signed a two-year contract with the Mariners on Friday as general manager Jerry Dipoto continued adding pitching depth to his organization.

Utility man Tim Lopes was designated for assignment to open a spot on Seattle’s 40-man roster. Lopes played well for the Mariners last year as a fill-in outfielder and backup infielder, but the club also has Sam Haggerty, Donnie Walton and Dylan Moore capable of playing multiple positions.

in summary..mariners seemingly will platoon in Lf.......which really is a good idea....it keeps the door open..for anyone who breaks out at the mlb lvl
and holds the door open for even younger miners guys like
LF platoon
José Marmolejos 26
Braden Bishop 5 or Jake Fraley 28..and
Sam Haggerty 0

the rotation with
Marco Gonzales 7.L/L
Chris Flexen 64
Justus Sheffield 33.L/L
Justin Dunn 35
Nick Margevicius 52...L/L
Yusei Kikuchi 18.L/L

the bull pen will be a ..continued work in progress...prob all through this year...

they could still use a LH..bat in the line up..at 3 or 4 spot but..i think the development ..of the guys is more important..than just stepping on the
gas...with free agents
especially..with the rotation still in flex as well..and the big miners pitcher 1 or 2 years away
that said
see ya in spring ...unless something big happens..but it seems the mariners are mostly done ...for now
with no draft guys to scout ...i have nothing to do there ..oh well ..guess ill go play video games,,,lolololol
